BUG: Authentication client sent unknown handshake command
Hi everybody, I'm using dovecot-2.2.11 on NetBSD. After a kernel upgrade, while using the same dovecot binaries (they were working perfectly until today), I'm experiencing this error (more log at the end of my email): BUG: Authentication client sent unknown handshake command: REQUEST?227672066?18807?2?c717631d60216b2e9ec57a2fa69674b8?session_pid=16343?... Yes, this is well known and is what the question was all about, are you using RHEL/Centos 6 now and planning to upgrade to version 7 before September ? > > > [lesca at dodo ~]$ rpm -ql samba-dc >

1.9.18p8: still no luck with smbpasswd
Hello all, we're experiencing some problems with smbpasswd when using the latest samba version (1.9.18p8). When new people arrive, they are added to the smbpasswd file without a password and requested to change it asap. But unfortunately, it seems to be impossible to change a null password to something else :-( The last couple of releases have changed some things in this area. I went

noob question
Hi list, thank you for Shorewall :) I''m trying to get a simple config to work but i can''t seem to work out how to gain access via ssh to the protected remote machine. But that doesn''t surprise me really as i have just spend well over an hour to find how to limit the lograte AND fill in the logburst in shorewall.conf. I have specified a logfile (not messages) in

[LLVMdev] ShadowStackGC.cpp - More Dead Code?
Hi, I've been looking at all of the uses of the 'unwind' instruction, and ShadowStackGC.cpp is the last pass which actually creates 'unwind' instructions. The thing is, this pass seems to be dead. It hasn't been updated in any meaningful way since ~79000. Should this pass go the way of the dodo? -bw -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was

dovecot w/ libwrap on fbsd
Dovecot with libwrap doesn't work on FreeBSD for some reason or another. I have these lines in my /etc/hosts.allow: ALL: LOCAL 127.0.0.1: allow pop3: ALL: allow ALL: ALL: deny Yet when you try to telnet to localhost, port 110 this is what happens: Aug 29 22:48:38 dodo dovecot: pop3-login: Error: connect(tcpwrap) failed: Permission denied I also tried auth_debug=yes to see what's wrong

[LLVMdev] ShadowStackGC.cpp - More Dead Code?
Hi Bill, I don't think it's dead code, per se -- AFAIK there are still clients of LLVM which use the shadow stack as part of their garbage collection implementation. HLVM is probably the most visible such project. My own project now has its own GC plugin to emit stack maps, rather than relying on the shadow stack. But for what it's worth, I found the shadow stack to be a useful

Bug#404533: missing fsys python modules for pygrub, and pygrub doesn't work
Package: xen-utils-3.0.3-1 Version: 3.0.3-0-2 Severity: normal pygrub can't work with this package, because the fsys filesystem modules included in the source package are missing. As a workaround, I downloaded the xen-3.0 source package, went into tools/pygrub/src/, installed e2fslibs-dev and libreiserfs0.3-dev, ran "make", and copied stuff from

increasing throughput over slow-but-fat WAN links?
Hi there We have a world-wide WAN network that we are running rsync over. It all works - but the throughput of any one rsync connection is limited by the latency on our inter-continental links. e.g a site may have a 4Mbs link, but a single rsync job can only get 1.5Mbs of the bandwidth. Running 3-5 rsync jobs in parallel gets around that limit and obviously allows us to saturate a particular

Getting network working in HVM domU
Hi all, I now have Xen running on Intel Core2 duo system, and am running a HVM domU with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, cold-installed from distribution CD. Problem is, Windows can''t get to the network. My dom0 ifconfig looks correct, as far as I can tell. I have a DHCP server on my local network, but the Windows XP domU claims to be unable to find DHCP. I''ve also tried

smbd hanging on OS X 10.4.8
Hi, If process all my mounts prior to the "..." bit below. It looks as if it's hanging while processing some printer config. On that assumption and since I don't and never have had any printers attached, I've commented out the '[printers]' section from smb.conf. No section contains a 'printable = yes'. I've tried with all sections containing 'printable

Use of separate storage for mail delivery
Hi I am facing one issue which is mostly about concepts. I have to be clear on that to move forward. I have tried finding solutions about it but couldn't find anything which talks about it. We have a setup which includes postfix and dovecot. We are using lmtp and delivery of mail is happening through dovecot. We want that delivery of mail should happen in a separate node. I was able to

how to separate virtual delivery and authentication?
I have a "pure ldap" setting with postfix and dovecot. When using dovecot delivery, the recipient is checked via ldap. The same ldap query is used when authenticate. So, if I want to authenticate with the uid , I can't use a filter like uid=%u because the delivery will fail. I don't want to use %nor something else because I could use multiple e-mail addresses on a single
