Rewriting caller ID from database?
Hi Most of our customers have generic names like "Hospital", so I need to rewrite their caller ID name by looking up the number in a database on the Asterisk server, and rewriting the name such as "Reading Hospital" so that we know who's calling. Any idea if this can be done with Asterisk, and how to do it? Thank you.

Sweave and tth
I tried odfWeave to create an OpenOffice file and found that it exhausted the memory of my large linux machine and took a long time to run. LaTeX with Sweave is blazing fast and extremely flexible. Most of the time I can give clients a pdf file. Sometimes I'd like to make Sweave LaTeX files more accessible (and editable) to (gulp) Word users, mainly so they can extract tables and other

DTMF Question (misunderstood '*' button)
Hi all! I'm experimenting a strange problem in my Asterisk PBX: I've got an Asterisk pbx in the office: I dial an external number; the dialled number answers me correctly, but as soon as I press the '*' button (i.e. to navigate through the menus or to enter a password) my Asterisk box put me on hold. (CLI transcription follows: -- Executing

I have a question on the function 'embed'. I ran the example x <- 1:10 embed(x, dimension=3) This gives the output: [,1] [,2] [,3] [1,] 3 2 1 [2,] 4 3 2 [3,] 5 4 3 [4,] 6 5 4 [5,] 7 6 5 [6,] 8 7 6 [7,] 9 8 7 [8,] 10 9 8 I don't quite understand the output and why it is useful. Queue extension issues
I'm stuck on queues! The way I read what documentation I have found, if I set up a queue like this: [general] persistentmembers = yes [testq] musiconhold=default strategy = ringall timeout = 10 retry = 5 context = testing member => SIP/100 and then add into extensions something like this: [incomingiax] exten => 1234,1,Dial(SIP/100,10) exten => 1234,2,Queue(testq|tTH|||300)

Syntax for iter.max in rms
Hello, I would like to increase the number of iterations for running a Buckley-James regression model in the rms package, but something is apparently syntactically wrong. The following code initially is exactly as it appears in the help page (which runs successfully), then a "failure to converge" message (resulting from specifying an 'identity' link argument, the error message

qcc package & syndromic surveillance (multivar CUSUM?)
Dear R Community: I am working on a public health early warning system, and I see that the qcc package allows for CUSUM and other statistical quality tests but I am not sure if my project is a good match for qcc functions as written. Any advice you may have is very much appreciated. I have four years worth of daily counts of emergency room admissions for different conditions (e.g. respiratory,

Difference btw. Dovecot Director and Dovecot Proxy
Hello, For a few days I try to understand what program (Dovecot Director or Dovecot Proxy) I should use for my email architecture. We are a hospital, and for security reasons, we must host ourselves our emails, and we must leave Google Apps... I wish to make a Dovecot backend for each department of the hospital. Each backend Dovecot has a local storage. Server 01: cardiology Server 02:

DC++ crashes with current CVS wine
Hi! I have a problem, that DC++ client now crashes in wine. The problem is that it crashes using its own exception handler, from the wine's point of view the app is running OK. The client simply pops up a dialog box saying that it just crashed and the debug info is placed in a file called exceptioninfo.txt. OK, the file is really there and it really shows something important: Code: c0000005

Using t tests
Dear Sir, I am doing some work on a population of patients. About half of them are admitted into hospital with albumin levels less than 33. The other half have albumin levels greater than 33, so I stratify them into 2 groups, x and y respectively. I suspect that the average length of stay in hospital for the group of patients (x) with albumin levels less than 33 is greater than those

OS: OpenBSD-3.5 with all patches MTA: Sendmail-8.12.11 It happened with other RCs of dovecot-0.9.11 Configured as: ./configure --without-pam

how to add point and label to boxplot using bwplot
Hi. My data contains information for 10 hospitals for 12 different measures. Let's call it x1-x12. I need to create a boxplot for each one of this measures and put them into one page. Each plot also needs to be independent, i.e. cannot use the group feature because of different scales for each measure. I was successful using the following code: x1 <- c(1.317604376, 0.978038233,
