ifconfig hw ether and -arp
Hi, Just thought I'd mention that I spent a while battling with tinc today. I had quite a weird behaviour - in routing mode, tinc would come up fine on both hosts, but pinging hosta from hostb wouldn't work until hosta pinged hostb. I've used an earlier version of tinc before in a different environment with no problems, and vaguely remembered a more complicated tinc-up script, so I

Clang option to provide list of target-subarchs.
Thank you for the feedback. > How is this going to work with --target-subarchs? Is there going to be a --no-target-subarchs flag to disable subarchs? What will the semantics of this be, exactly? The large number of subarchs expected makes an inclusive only flag desirable and an exclusive flag impractical. Also, since subarchs will age more quickly than archs, who knows what old crufty

Re: [Xen-changelog] Update linux sparse tree to subarch layout.
Looks like the subarch tree has been checked in. Does this mean 3.0.1 has been pushed out to include more? Or do we release 3.0.1 once the new tree is fully tested? [PATCH 2/5] Interrupts subarch cleanup.patch
A brave attempt to be rid of an unnecessary subarch hook and clean things up a bit. First, all subarches use IRQ-2 as a cascade IRQ. So do that in the common code. Second, there is no need for a pre_intr_init_hook. We can set up the interrupt gates at any time, as this doesn't touch any real hardware, just the processor gates. Now the subarch code still needs to setup the appropriate irq

RE: [PATCH]Allow different config file for xenlinux on samearch
Hi, Keir, Any comments upon following patch? ;-) We need it to further check in a specific configuration file (likely xen0_defconfig_ia64tiger) later to run xen on IA64 tiger box. Currently we have no generic one for all IA64 boxes. Let''s know if better way to do it. Currently custom with tiger box can only get that file out of the tree. [LLVMdev] [PATCH][REQUEST] Could someone submit this CSR Kalimba definitions patch please?
Hello LLVMdev!! Yesterday I posted a patch request to the llvm-commits list requesting that someone could apply a patch to Triple.h and Triple.cpp for me. I didn't get any response so I wondered whether I should have posted to this list instead. My story is as follows: we are trying to get lldb/llvm support for CSRs range of Kalimba DSPs. Eventually we are planning to hire someone to

pxelinux: Using just pxelinux.cfg/default
Hi friends... I am using pxelinux but it is so slow when I don't write MAC addresses in /etc/dhcp3/dhcpd.conf so How do I can use pxelinux.cfg/default directly and not have to wait? A lot of thanks. {pepo} -- Linux User Registered #232544 Jabber : pepo at jabberes.org ICQ : 337889406 GnuPG-key : www.keyserver.net ----------------

pxelinux 4.03 taking forever to find .../pxelinux.cfg/default
Hi All, It appears the NetApp OnTap tftp server we were using doesn't implement the "OpCode: Error Code (5); Error Code: File not found (1)" response." so we just moved the tftp service to RHEL boxes running HPA tftpd. It's essential for our deployment system to locate the pxelinux config specific to an installation request based on it's MAC address. If the MAC based

compiling linux-image-2.6.18-4-xen-686 package?
Hi there, I've done an apt-get source linux-image-2.6.18-4-xen-686 and would very much like to build a package with NFS root enabled. From what I've read, I need to run split-config, which I got from SVN (it doesn't seem to exist anywhere else) I've fooled around with split-config to produce a config to my spec but this doesn't seem to actually work. Usage:

Hi, Is there anything that controls the speed with which pxelinux.0 (4.03) enumerates the files in .../pxelinux.cfg before it reaches the .../pxelinux.cfg/default file ? pxelinux.cfg/01-00-50-56-ba-48-0e pxelinux.cfg/AC12B2D9 pxelinux.cfg/AC12B2D pxelinux.cfg/AC12B2 pxelinux.cfg/AC12B pxelinux.cfg/AC12 pxelinux.cfg/AC1 pxelinux.cfg/AC

[pxelinux] load a special (non menu.c32) cfg file from menu.c32
Hi! I have a PXE Server witch uses a the simple menu system. Is all working great also with submenus. What i want is a entry in the pxelinux.cfg/default file that can load a non-menu cfg file for the pxelinux.0. The background is, that i have here a DamnSmallLinux that is booting from PXE. it has a own cfg file but without the simple menu system (with F1-F2-F3 and a logo.16). If i move

Availability of a variable of the TFTP server IPaddressto be used in pxelinux.cfg/default
Good day again Michael, You might potentially be interested in linux.c32, as well. Whether you use IPAPPEND or linux.c32, either way I believe that you have to customize the distro to make use of the passed parameters. If you take a look at syslinux/com32/modules/linux.c, you will see that this COMBOOT32 module accepts "-dhcpinfo" as an argument. The behaviour here is that linux.c32

HOWTO script /pxelinux.cfg/default ?
Hello, THE PLAN: a cross-plattform unattended setup system for linux and windows on a RH72 box with PXE, ISC-DHCP2 and TFTP. Lanboot should be offered with linuxinstall and a dos6.22 LANMAN 3.0 bootdisk + djgpp bash for scripting (see http://unattended.sourceforge.net) THE PROBLEM: DOS Utilities force reboot after partitioning. By then the decision if the bootimage or the HD should be booted

multiple default in /pxelinux.cfg
Dear Sir, I am using PXES for booting diskless computer to win2k, and/or LTSP servers. The problem is we have many computers in our lab have different computers, so i require different .initrd files for each group of computers. Can i have different /pxelinux.cfg/default files so that i can define different locations for my boot files. Thanks in advance. Limesh Parekh, Enjay Computer
