using phia with glmmTMB
Dunno ... But you might do better posting this on the r-sig-mixed-models list where it both should fit better and where you are more likely to find the relevant expertise. FreeBSD 4.4-REL to FreeBSD 4.8-STABLE upgrade problem.
I sent this to freebsd-questions earlier via the newsgroup, but I just found out today that the list-to-news gateway has been down for half a month now. Any idea when it's going back up? Who was hosting that service anyway? And now for the question.. I have a test server that is being used to test a 4.4-REL to 4.8-STABLE upgrade, and I've found the system will no longer boot unless I

Mantel test for comparing two matrices
Hi everyone, I have two matrices of 2000x2000 size. They consist of a measurement of RMSD deviations of a protein structure. The basic question i want to answer is the following: are there a significant differences between the two matrices? I aim to use the Mantel test. I don't really know if this is a good idea or if there are better solutions for these mega matrices. Thanks [[alternative

quasi-random sequences
Dear list useRs, I have to generate a random set of coordinates (x,y) in [-1 ; 1]^2 for say, N points. At each of these points is drawn a circle (later on, an ellipse) of random size, as in: > N <- 100 > > positions <- matrix(rnorm(2 * N, mean = 0 , sd= 0.5), nrow=N) > sizes<-rnorm(N, mean = 0 , sd= 1) > plot(positions,type="p",cex=sizes) My problem is to

GLMM post- hoc comparisons
Hi All, I have data about seed predation (SP) in fruits of three differents colors (yellow, motted, dark) and in two fruiting seasons (2007, 2008). I performed a GLMM (lmer function, lme4 package) and the outcome showed that the interaction term (color:season) was significant, and some combinations of this interaction have significant Pr(>|z|), but I don't think they are the right

[PATCH] Let MEMDISK honor the quiet append option
When you add "quiet" to the append line, Syslinux doesn't display the file reading progress anymore. When you use this option to boot an image with MEMDISK, you still get a lot of text. ========================== LABEL mydisk LINUX memdisk INITRD mydisk.img APPEND raw quiet ========================== The following patch makes MEMDISK silent when the quiet keyword is passed to the

rails is not to logging controller, action, parameters, complection time, etc in development mode
For this one particular project, rails is not to logging controller, action, parameters, complection time, etc in development mode. And I am not sure why. When I check in the console the log level I notice: Rails.logger.level => 0 So I am not sure why it doesn''t log the information it usually does during a request. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to

Samba Point-and-install driver location problems
Hi, I'm trying to configure my Samba server to support Point-and-install driver installation of a CUPS printer (the printer works with Samba when Point-and-install is not configured, and the driver is installed manually on Windows XP). I've gone through the actual configuration process, and am able now to just install the printer on Windows XP machines via the Samba-supplied driver.
