Good morning all: When I do a net ads join from FC4 I get the following output and I'm not quite sure what to make of it. Also, after I do a kinit, net ads join and smb restart all my windows clients can connect fine. After I reboot the server, the windows clients can not connect until I do another kinit and net ads join. What am I missing? ---> smb.conf file [global] netbios name

Yohoo! We want to authenticate our Cisco admins to freeradius. This should authenticate to our running AD (W2003Srv). Googling for freeradius and AD tells me to use ntlm_auth. For ntlm_auth I need a running winbindd. And kerberos. And there's my problem. Status: I configured the /etc/krb5.conf "kinit admin@MY.DOMAIN" asks for the password and gives me a ticket for one week.

I was going to explore the infinite possibilites offered by PAM, winbind, NIS, and alpha17, but it never got past the build stage. Sigh. Note that 2.2.3a built just fine with this same machine, same compiler (GCC 3.0.4), and same OpenSSL (0.9.6b). Today, all shares was stopped and then i restarted my Samba4 AD and the file server. All became to work again. But it im afraid because the problem started by itself. Hi all, we've been running a Samba4 domain with alpha17 for a few months now without any problems. However, a few days ago, something happened and now winbind can't authenticate against the domain any more.
