Documentation/Feature Clarification Request: Server Side Copy and VFS_FRUIT
There are two styles of SSC:
- the "normal" protocol style called copy-chunk, where the copy is
requested in IO ranges by the client and performed server-side
- the Apple way enabled by fruit:copyfile where the client requests the
*whole* file to be copied in one request to be performed by the server
The problem with the latter is that for large file the copy takes some
time and

Documentation/Feature Clarification Request: Server Side Copy and VFS_FRUIT
Hello,
I?m running TrueNAS 24.10.2.2, which uses Samba 4.20.5-truenas. I have a mixture of Mac, Linux, and Windows SMB clients in my network that talk to the TrueNAS server over SMB.
Apologies in advance for the slightly long-winded setup to my question; I wanted to explain how I got here.
I?d like to be able to use Server-Side Copy (SSC) (https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Server-Side_Copy)

More info - S-Plus compatability
Dear all,
Thanks to those of you who have replied, the majority of the
comments pointed out that the error caused by scan may originate
from another function, and closer inspection of the output from
traceback() reveals that it is in fact the read.table function where
the error is originating from the full output of which I have included
below.
The error msg I recieve is

I've been playing with ADS features of samba-3.0alpha21 and am having

After joining the domain, I can use the other 'net ads' options of user,

Is there a way to view S-PLUS script files in R
Dear List,
I have some S-PLUS script files (.ssc). Does there exist an R
function/command that can read such files? I simply want to view the
code and practice in R to help me learn the subject matter.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is my first post requesting help to this mailing list. I am new

this language and just learning my way around. I am attempting to run

Macs deleting files off RHEL8 server
These are a combination of "temp" and "real" files. The user is
deleting/moving PDFs, InDesign and image files. I'm presuming hidden files
are also getting deleted when the real files are.
The filesystem has been solid (XFS) up until the switch to SMB.

Testing this significance of a factor in a mixed-model "ANCOVA"
R-users -
I must preface this question by saying that I'm a relative newbie to
both R and mixed-modeling.
I'm using lme fit an ANCOVA-like model. My data consist of bone
length measurements for a developmental series of two capuchin monkey
species. I'm interested in whether the rate of bone length scaling
to body mass (i.e., growth) differs between species.
My call to lme

ANOVA: New User question
I am a relatively new user of R, and have a question on ANOVA
I have a sumamrised data set of the form (data dummy only)

2 0 4000 30
3 1 36000 2400
3 0 400 250
and wish to perform ANOVA. Because its sumamrised I need to tell R to
treat the data as if I had all the individual rows. Otherwise, I only

3.0.1pre3 - date/time discrepancy in the log
I'm using the very latest 'version 3.0.1pre3 protocol version 30', on
both ends, and have seen a date/time discrepancy in the log on the
receiver. The sending machine (machineA) is in US CDT while the receiver
is in US PDT. Both sender and receiver have their time set correctly.

I am running the webrick server (/script/server) and I would like to be
able to view the application from any browser. However, I can only see
my application from a browser opened up on the localhost. When I use
any other browser it times out. I have already modified the following
line in the /script/server file (I''ve tried the numeric ip address also)

Transporting s-plus routines to R
I have used S-Plus for Windows for some time and have a large collection of personal programs. I have recently installed R-1.1.1 under Linux. I can read the .ssc files from S-Plus into emacs and save to R, but this is apt to be tedious. Any shortcuts to recommend? Will linux R read the _Data files from Windows S-Plus? Would Windows R serve as a useful intermediate transfer?

bivariate normal cdf
-- R Help List --
I am looking for a bivariate normal cdf routine in R. I have some fortran routines for this, which appear to be based on 15-point quadrature. Any guidance/suggestions on making these in loadable R-functions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

[LLVMdev] llvm-gfortran problems
No, I am running the LLVM pass at the compilation step. So by the time I
reach the link step, the transformed bitcode has been generated.
