[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc and -march
Hi, I apologize if I am not asking on the right mailing list. I am using the llvm-gcc4.2 from MacPorts. https://trac.macports.org/browser/trunk/dports/lang/llvm-gcc42/Portfile llvm-gcc does not seem to accept the -march flag. This is the error, I got: cc1: error: unrecognized command line option "-march" The port developer asked me to find out if this is a known issue. -- Nichols

The -arch option is handled by Apple's "driver-driver", and the MacPorts build is probably not using that. See the driverdriver.c source file in llvm-gcc for details. Also, the driver-driver should be in the sources that they're using even still.

This comes up when trying to compile Valgrind, here is the full compile line: /opt/local/bin/llvm-gcc-4.2 -Wbad-function-cast -Wcast-qual -Wcast-align -fstrict-aliasing \ -arch x86_64 -O2 -g -Wall -Wmissing-prototypes -Wshadow -Wpointer-arith -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-declarations -Wno-format-zero-length -fno-strict-aliasing -mmacosx-version-min=10.5 -fno-stack-protector \ -O -S

Still nothing here: [yendi:~] echristo% llvm-gcc -march=nocona foo.c -S -arch x86_64 [yendi:~] echristo% So, perhaps you could send more information? Or bug the mac ports people. -eric On Aug 22, 2011, at 2:44 PM, Nichols A. [LLVMdev] strange visibility error when compiling llvm-gcc-4.2
I'm on Debian Etch and re-compile llvm/llvm-gcc-4.2 from scratch. I'm on svn revision 46813. I'm using the following commands for the compilation: ---------------------------------- # Get the sources mkdir /s/llvm cd /s/llvm svn co http://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk /s/llvm/svn.llvm svn co http://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm-gcc-4.2/trunk /s/llvm/svn.gcc42 # Compile llvm

Tropico 3 Demo Graphics Problem - People are not visible
Hi! I am trying to run the Tropico 3 Demo on Wine 1.3.18. Everything is displaying fine (buildings, trees, etc.), except the people. The city looks like a ghost city, doors opening and closing but nobody is there. Can somebody help me what can be wrong? I tried different graphics options in the game, and different Direct 3d settings in the registry, but nothing seems to be working. I have a dll

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc and -march
So my original post subject was for -march, but that was my mistake. The command line option is -arch. Since presumably Macports is just fetching an llvm tar ball from some repository, is the issue that llvm has been misconfigure in some obvious way? Yes, I can take a look at the driverdriver.c source file as well. Should this also be working in LLVM 2.9 or is the latest SVN also needed? On

[LLVMdev] [PATCH]: enable multilib build on x86_64-apple-darwin
Chris, Thanks. I am going to update the fink llvm and llvm-gcc42 packages I maintain to the 2.6 release so this will help. Is clang updated in unison with llvm/llvm-gcc-4.2 and is there much new that isn't in Xcode 3.2's clang? I was considering creating clang packaging for fink as well (if the releases were coordinated and the c++ support was decent yet). Jack On Thu,

[LLVMdev] fink llvm-gcc42 test packaging
I've created fink packaging for a building the llvm and llvm-gcc-4.2 svn pulls under fink on Mac OS X. Hopefully the fink info script and patch should be clear enough for some comments on my build approach. The llvm-gcc and llvm-g++ compilers seem okay so far. The llvm-gfortran compiler seems to always spew a warning.. WARNING: 128-bit integers not supported! ...even when just compiling a

Segmentation Fault
What may cause this error? I'm trying to run Armored Brigade, which was working perfectly until I upgraded Wine from 1.2.3. to 1.3.24. I can't get sound to work in that game under that version of Wine. I have OSS V4 When I downgrade to 1.2.3. I can't run that game any more as I'm getting a segmentation fault error at start. I have tried uninstalling wine and removing the .wine

I have installed Wine 1.3.31 from MacPorts repository on both of them and attempts to run Civilization 4 Complete Edition. I've made dll substitution specific for this game using winetrics (msxml3,
