Atheros Communications Inc. AR8161 Gigabit Ethernet
Dear All,
first of all I must admit I posted this problem on the CentOs forum
yesterday, with 0 replies so far. :-(
I'm googling this problem all weekend, and getting a bit desperate actually.
I'm working on a new Dell Vostro 3460.
It has a Atheros Communications Inc. AR8161 Gigabit Ethernet carc that I cannot get to work.

Hi Guys,
Just found an issue with CentOS 6.3. The network is getting inaccessible at times. The server has been installed with CentOS 6 and then package upgrade was performed.

CentOS 6 early panic on ESXi 4.1.0 build 800380
I run VMware vSphere 4 Essentials with three almost identically
configured ESXi 4.1 hosts and a mix of 32 and 64 bit guests including
Windows 2003 and 2008 as well as CentOS 5 and 6. Recently I updated one
of the hosts to build 800380. The new build runs Windows and CentOS 5
VMs fine, but CentOS 6 guests won't come up.
I tried two different CentOS 6 VMs. Both have the latest standard kernel

Dovecot failed logins delay all logins
Hi all,
I have observed with my Dovecot setup that unique failed logins cause
legitimate correct logins to be slowed. I am running two servers, each
with two Dovecot instances, a Proxy with Director, and a backend
Dovecot. I suspect that the backend instance is throttling
connections from the same IP, and because I am running a Proxy, the
backend will only see either of the two server IPs. I

Dovecot & pam issues
I'm replacing my old Fedora 7 mail server with a new one running

Proxy connection timeouts
We are seeing a few (0-15) proxy failures like the following out of ~3m
successful proxied connections a day. Average session creation load over
our peak hour is about 47/sec. The backend servers aren't logging
anything that would suggest any internal problem like insufficient
processes to handle the load. It doesn't seem to happen when
utilization is lowest at night.

dsync: error with hierarchy separator
Hi list!
I have a problem with transfering mails from mbox to maildir format. On
dovecot wiki I found a dsync tool, which looks good, but returns me an

flash plugin
How do I get a flash plugin to work with firefox?
I thought that I installed it correctly,
but I have yet to see any flash videos through firefox.
I keep being told that I need an additional plugin.
When I folow directions, I'm told I already have it?
At least once, I was told I needed to upgrade.
In case it helps, here is the output of

OpenStack+libvirt+lxc: lxcContainerGetSubtree:1199 : Failed to read /proc/mounts
Hi,
I'm running OpenStack on CentOS 6.3 to manage lxc instances. And running
into series of problem relating libvirt and lxc interaction.
For example, libvirt_lxc segfault (
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=874549) which has an upstream
fix. And another bugs such as fail to start when SELinux disabled.
Finally, I decides to adopt libvirt 0.10.2, self compiled

The best answer to your question is "the latest version", since previous versions all have known issues of one kind or another.
It's not a great idea to run outdated Centos
