only mark as deleted when deleted as default for some mailboxes
Hi list,
i wonder if this is possible with some dovecot configuration.
Selected mailboxusers will only mark their mails as deleted, when a mail
is being deleted through any client.
No automatic expunge.
This is default behaviour in Outlook, and i think in Thunderbird too,
but unfortunately not in Open-Xchange for example.
So i was asking myself if it would be possible to simply turn this

strange Folder in subscription list (was: Imap Ghost Folder)
Hi list,
here's the complete Problem for easy reading again.
Can someone reproduce this?
I have a strange "ghostfolder" when using
shares/%%n/
as prefix for shared namespace.
If i swith only this setting to
shares/%%u/
everything is just as wanted, only then the prefix is very long, so i
would prefer the name.

Error after setting up fts /solr for Open-Xchange
Hi!
Well...That seemed to have worked in fact.
Updated to 2:2.2.16-1~auto+36.
"All folders"-search works, and no errors are being shown. Besides, the
all folder search in Open-Xchange looks great and is lightning fast!
Thank you very much for your help

Samba 3.0.20 acls not working anymore and problem with winbindd_idmap.tdb
Hi Folks,
I am experiencing some problems with samba 3.0.20 which I can not solve
on my own. We have updated from samba 3.0.10 to samba 3.0.20, but I am
not sure when the problems started.
We had a problem with idmap - I had hoped to solve - before. Whenever
we rebooted the server, all of the ACLs got jumbled up. I thought that
our winbindd_idmap.tdb somehow got broken. I re-created it, but

Error after setting up fts /solr for Open-Xchange
Hi,
just saw, that v2.2.13 is still the latest version in wheezy backports.
I don't really like the idea of messing around with self compiled
versions, at least not, if my original problem might as well have a
good possibility not to be resolved by the update.
I can't find anything regarding the " file

Error after setting up fts /solr for Open-Xchange
Hi List,
i have tried to get fts / solr running with virtual all folder with
Open-Xchange.
I followed a pretty well written howto from Open-Xchanges Intranet, and
i first thought everything was running smooth, as the first one or two
searches were successful. However now whenever i try to search again
for something in the virtual "all folders" Open-Xchange tells me:

Your password expires today problem
Hi.
I enabled policies with pdbedit. Password must be changed every 90 days and
must contain at least 8 characters. I enabled password history too.
After that (I tried it in samba 3.4.3 and 3.0.25 with same behaviour) every
time a user try to log in the domain using Windows receives a "Your password
expires today. Do you want to change it now ?" message box. If the password
is changed,

winbind, idmap_ad and ldaps
Hello from Germany,
I have a problem with the following constellation:
A Samba-Fileserver - Samba 3.5.6 - running in a Windows AD as a member server using idmap_ad for the mapping the User-IDs. This all works fine as long as the LDAP-port 389 is available on the domain controllers. Now, our AD admin wants to close this and move over to LDAPS. And here is my problem. How do I configure my Samba

I've followed your tutorial to change the IP Address of our Samba AD DC:

enforcing multiple per-mailbox quotas for shared mailboxes
Hi!
I'm trying to get quotas for shared mailboxes set up on my server. It's
not working, and I fail to understand why. Documentation for setup of
this complexity is rather scarce on the web, and the discussions I found
either don't directly apply or terminate with "I got it working" but
no explanation.
Can someone please help?
The setup is rather lengthy and complicated, so

Problems with Samba as a ADS domain member
Hi there,
I have some problems with a samba server (v. 3.0.14a installed on gentoo
linux 2005.1), which is a domain member server in an windows 2003 active
directory domain.
The authentication works fine, and when I set the permissions on the
Linux side for a certain user on a certain folder, he will have the
access I granted him. As I'm using reiserfs with acl-support for the
