Strange behaviour with BLF-CRYPT and SHA*-CRYPT pasword schemas
Greetings, this is less of a bug report or a help request, but we would like to know if someone can explain the following: Environment: Centos 7 with Dovecot 2.3.4-2 default_pass_scheme = BLF-CRYPT password hash in database : BLF-CRYPT login = works default_pass_scheme = SHA512 or SHA256-CRYPT password hash in database : BLF-CRYPT login = also works default_pass_scheme = BLF-CRYPT password

BLF-CRYPT
Hi, I get "Unknown scheme: BLF-CRYPT" messages if I try to use Blowfish-encrypted passwords, even though it is supposed to be supported. I'm on 2.1.7, Debian Squeeze backports. Do you have any information whether Blowfish is supported with Debian Squeeze crypt(), or is there any other knobs I can turn on to make this algorithm available? Thanks, Kristof

bcrypt again
Hi I'd like Dovecot to consume a list of users exported from an external application which stores bcrypted passwords. This has been asked in the past, however, I'm not sure how to read the following reply: > If you are using Dovecot< 2.0 you can also use any of the algorithms > supported by your system's libc. But then you have to prefix the hashes > with {CRYPT} - not

Which dovecot-antispam with dovecot 2?
Hi I'm a little confused as there are two repos for the dovecot-antispam plugin. Eugene's hg repo is explicitly labeled "for Dovecot 2", but the Johannes' git repo has commits later in date: hg: http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/Antispam git: http://git.sipsolutions.net/?p=dovecot-antispam.git I guess the unrelease hg code ist the one for Dovecot 2, but what is

Is there any explanation for this behaviour though? Why are BCRYPT hashes accepted when default_pass_scheme is set to SHA512-CRYPT and not vice versa? Is this

Having problems with BLF
Hi, I'm having a problem getting a snom 300 to work with BLF (extension 222). I've set it to watch extension 220 in the function key config pages as per the wiki (BLF, <sip:220 at server.com>) but I can't get the light to come on when 220 is ringing. The SIP trace page doesn't show anything coming from my PBX when 220 is ringing or in use. Any help much appreciated as this

BLF and call-limit in 1.8
Hello We have recently upgraded our internal PBX from 1.4 to 1.8. This made the BLF lamps on our Polycom phones stop working. After a lot of googling and a lot of testing, I have been unable to find a solution. I did try to change the call-limit value from 4 to 1, and this actually made BLF work (noone suggested this, and what documantation I can find states that this option is deprecated). This

BLF trouble
Hello, I have some trouble with the BLF indicator. I have two phones that use the same hint: 13 => hint,1,SIP/phone13&SIP/phone13-wlan This works great from the asterisk side, but it seems the status change is too quick for the attached Grandstream-phones. When I ring the extension the hint changes to "Ringing". The Grandstream blinks. Great. Now, when someone picks up one of

Spoofing a BLF Signal?
Is there anyway to "spoof" a BLF signal to a phone from within a dialplan? That being so I can turn a BLF light on or off on a phone when a certain thing happens in a dialplan?

BLF support in Asterisk and early/confirmed/terminated/proceeding NOTIFY states.
I have a setup with Yealink phones & Asterisk Server (all latest patches). I am using BLF to display the states of other phones. While this works MOST of the time (busy, being called) it does NOT work when a phone is NOT regisstered at all, the yealink phones display a green dot EVEN if a phone is turned off (try explain this to users, they are shaking their heads!!!) I can see on the

Cisco 7961 + 7914, speeddials, BLF & Asterisk 1.4?
Hi, Does anyone have any experience with a Cisco 7961 + 7914 Operator Console setup and speeddials/BLF on Asterisk 1.4? Would appreciate feedback if this works reliably. I have a 7961 on skinny registering on an 1.4.19 box with chan_sccp and speeddials work fine so that part seems ok. I have no experience with the BLF part. >From googling around it seems that BLF on the 7914 only works with

BLF and realtime SIP buddies
Hello list, Can I do something like this for BLF functionality : [test-blf] exten => _XX,hint,Macro(GetSIPaccount,${EXTEN}) exten => _XX,hint,SIP/${SIPACCOUNT} GetSIPaccount is a macro that looks at a MySQL-database for the realtime table sip_buddies where the SIPusername is taken from. It works great for internal calls... but how about BLF-functionality ?? Feedback is appreciated !

BLF sharing between Asterisk 11 and 13
I have servers setup in versions 11 and 13. Between two 11 servers, I had no issues sharing BLF, and assigning the hints on my Cisco 525G2 phones. I've upgraded to 13 on one of these servers, and now can't share BLF. I get something like... Polycoms and BLF
I'm trying to get the BLF to work correctly on my Polycom phones. I have the buddy watch working correctly, but can't get the BLF to change based on the state... Example: When an extension is ringing, I get the same 'red light' that I get when the extension is actually in use... I was wondering if anyone had any experience with getting the Polycom phone to

SLA and Flashing BLF
I understand that the Asterisk SLA implementation is somewhat different from most key systems and PBX systems. I also understand that in Asterisk, one does not put an SLA line on hold since it is just a MeetMe conference. However, is there any way to make the BLF flash when the answering party on the Asterisk system presses the hold key on their set and leaves the calling party alone in the

High volume BLF - Suggestions?
Hi, We have a user who is putting large call volumes through Asterisk, and wants to BLF monitor up to 90 extensions. We are struggling to find a handset that can keep up with Asterisk :) 1) Is there a handset that will do this? 2) Is there a different (standard) way to send BLF and allow directed pickups? 2a) Or even a handset specific way? Asterisk handles the BLF volume fine, even on quite

Polycom Blf / Directed Pickup
Would anyone happen to have some examples of polycom configs, specifically the 650 with sidecar for blf. I have the asterisk side all configured since I've set up blf with other types of phones, but I'm missing the polycom side. I've put together a <mac>-directory.xml, and the sidecar now lists numbers as speed dials but does not subscribe to blf.
