Libvirt Qemu compatibility
Hi all,
I am using Ubuntu 10.04 Server and I am trying to figure out which versions
of qemu-kvm and libvirt are known to work well together and if there is
anything special that needs to be done during their installs. I am trying
to work with the latest version of libvirt possible that will be stable
with qemu-kvm. Right now, the only configuration I've been able to get
working are the

shorewall dynamic zones confusion
Hi,
I''ve been successfully using shorewall in our K12 school since the 2.x
days initially on Mandrake and now on Debian. Because of that my config
has got quite complicated. The firewall has a working MultiISP setup
with four interfaces (I''ve renamed them with udev to easy their
identification): lan-if, dmz-if, snt-if and dnt-if (one of the providers
(the one on dnt-if) is a DSL

Source RPM please
Hi,
I''m a long ext3 user (rpmfind.net). I propagated ext3 on some of our
server box (W3C webservers are ext3 based too now).
I might be tempted of testing out your kernel RPMs but unavailability
or the source RPM and the SMP version are definite showstoppers. Please
provide them. In the meantime I will stick to my own set of kernel ext3
RPMs at ftp://rpmfind.net/pub/veillard/ext3/

Libvirt mpiexec networking issue
Hi all,
Not sure if this is the best place to put this question since I'm not sure
if it's a Libvirt issue but...
I currently have two VMs up with networking and I can successfully ssh to
and from each VM and I have confirmed that I can successfully download
things from the internet. However, when trying to run mpiexec (which uses
ssh), the connection fails and gives me the following

Windows port
Hi!
I would like to ask about current state of Windows port. Is it frozen? It will be cool to know the plans :)
Where are a lot of Windows-branches at GitHub. What is the most actual one?
The Windows builder looks like turned off, am I right that it is not available currently and where were no builds after version 2.6.5-6?
I couldn't find any info about proper environment to build Windows

I''d like to route requests for those going after my old application urls to
my new rails application urls.
The old app used

The rails app uses

Like...

Libvirt daemon segfaults when run as root
Hi all,
For some reason when I run "libvirtd -d" as root it seems to not start. I
investigate by running "libvirtd -v" as root and I get a segfault. Here is
the output:

Checkpointing
Hi,
Is there any way you can save a xen domain without suspending it or stopping
it? I want to set up something so if my xen session crashes I can fire up
another xen session from the save file that I created 5 minutes before the
crash and hopefully minimize downtime.
Thanks

And I keep getting: "libvirtError: XML description not well formed or invalid

Libvirt Error guest wont start
Hi all,
I have been using Libvirt for several months now and I have only had
minimal problems. I had a particular setup and was starting up multiple
guests just fine. However, with seemingly no changes I now get the
following error when trying to start a guest:
virsh start guest0
error: Failed to start domain guest0
error: internal error Process exited while reading console log output:

Hi,
I''ve recently had some trouble setting form values in my code - for example:

def save(pagename, content, editsummary = '''')
agent = WWW::Mechanize.new
agent.user_agent = ''Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)''

Back porting of ext3 to 2.2.X line
I've not seen this asked since I've been on the list; but was wondering...
I'm currently sticking to the 2.2 line and have no plans to move to 2.4
right now. Is there any attempt to back port some of the changes in the
newer 2.4 line back into 2.2? ext-0.0.7a.tar.gz has been stable thus
far, but it's getting kind of old.

List volumes of a domain
Hi all,
I'm using libvirt java binding (libvirt-java-0.4.6)
I'd like to know if the Domain class offers an API to query volumes
attached to a particular domain or should I parse the XML domain
description?
Thanks for your support

remote lxc via libvirt?
Has support for creating or using lxc containers on remote machines
been added to libvirt yet?
https://help.ubuntu.com/12.04/serverguide/lxc.html says
"Libvirt is a powerful hypervisor management solution with which you
can administer Qemu, Xen and LXC virtual machines, both locally and
remote."
so I assume it's been done and I'm just having trouble seeing it...
