OpenNebula on CentOS-6
hi,
Some of you might have seen the email on the centos-devel list, for the
rest I just wanted to point out that we've been working on getting
opennebula ( http://www.opennebula.org/ ) rpms and contextualised images
for opennebula available with a very low barrier to entry for CentOS.
The 'win' with OpenNebula is that its easy to install, easy to get
going, scales well and mostly

Re: NUMA issues on virtualized hosts
Hello,
ok, I found that cpu pinning was wrong, so I corrected it to be 1:1. The issue
with iozone remains the same.
The spec is running, however, it runs slower than 1-NUMA case.
The corrected XML looks like follows:
<cpu mode='host-passthrough'><topology sockets='8' cores='4' threads='1'/><numa><cell cpus='0-3'

Running libvirt on a virtualized server
Hi everyone
I'm trying to create a virtual machine using OpenNebula [1] on a centos 6.4
server, but i'm facing some erros using kvm / libvirt.
This server is running on a virtual machine created on XCP. Then, my
infrastructure is: XCP 1.6 (hypervisor - dom0) + CentOS 6.4 (running on a
XCP VM) + OpenNebula 4.0.1 (installed on CentOS).
In the host machine, I have the same infrastructure.

Hey John,
Hehe, I got the right guy then. Very nice! And very good ideas but I
may need more time to reread and try them out later tonight. I'm fully
in agreement about providing more details. Can't be accurate in a
diagnosis if there isn't much data to go on. This pool option is new to
me. Please tell me more on it. Can't find it in the file below but
maybe it's

Permission issue with cgroups
Hello libvirt users,
I'm using the cgroup with QEMU guests. At /etc/libvirt/qemu.conf, I have
the following parameter:
cgroup_controllers = [ "cpu" ]
This controller is successfully mounted and libvirt is able to create
subgroups for each VM, it's really great the cgroups support in libvirt.
The problem is that I can only set the parameters of a given cgroup under
the cpu

Can you provide some more details with respect to which libvirt version
you have installed. I know I've made changes in this space in more
recent versions (not the most recent). I'm no root_squash expert, but I
was the last to change things in the space so that

Intro and request to edit
Hi, folks,
I'm Rich Bowen, and I work with the OSAS (Open Source and Standards)

I've been on the documentation team for the Apache httpd project for a
few years, so I like to think I can write coherently. ;-)
I'd like to request edit privs on the CentOS wiki. In particular, I

How are bricks healed in Debian Jessie 3.11
Hi,
How are bricks healed in Debian Jessie 3.11? Is it at the file of
block level? The scenario we have in mind is a 2 brick replica volume
for storing VM file systems in a self-service IaaS, e.g. OpenNebula. If
one of the bricks is off-line for a period of time all the VM files
systems will all have been modified when brick comes back on-line. As
some of these VM file systems are quite
