Rolling Sample VAR
hi guys, I am using trivariate VAR model to get 10 step ahead orthogonalized impulse response functions. I want to use rolling sample analysis on the coefficients of the irf but I have no idea how to do that. I looked through the forums but I can't seem to find any solutions. Any suggestions would be helpful. B -- View this message in context:

Column Extraction from matrix
Hi all, I have a 4 by 100 matrix. I wish to extract each column and make it into a 2 by 2 matrix. I also want to assign names for each 2X2 matrix. For example set.seed(2) a=matrix(rnorm(400),ncol=100) a1=matrix(a[,1],ncol=2) a2=matrix(a[,2],ncol=2) . . . a100=matrix(a[,100],ncol=2) Any simple ideas. Thanks. B -- View this message in context:

Date Format
Hi everybody, I need your precious help for, I think, a simple request, but I do not manage to solve this. When I use a "table" function with dates in the rows, the rows are coerced to number after the table function. So I need to transform the row names into date format. But I do not manage. Therefore, for an example, I manage to write this : datetest<-"06/01/2001"

atomic ops are optimized with incorrect semantics .
Hi All, With the "https://gcc.godbolt.org/z/yBYTrd" case . the atomic is converted to non atomic ops for x86 like from xchg dword ptr [100], eax to mov dword ptr [100], 1 the pass is responsible for this tranformation was instCombine i.e InstCombiner::visitAtomicRMWInst which converts the IR like %0 = atomicrmw xchg i32* inttoptr (i64 100 to i32*), i32 1 monotonic to store

tranform a table?
hello everyone, i'm new to R, so i hope you dont mind a fairly basic R question. we're using R to manipulate the results of SQL queries and create an HTML output. I'm starting with a table that looks essentially like this: Name Field1 Field2 John value1 value2 Jane value3 value4 My table is stored as a dataframe. I'd like to efficiently produce an

How to solve A'A=S for A
It is not clear to me that one can. If the singular value decomposition of A is the triple product P d Q', then the singular value decomposition of A'A=S is Q d^2 Q'. The information about the orthonormal matrix P is lost, is it not? ********************************************************** Cliff Lunneborg, Professor Emeritus, Statistics & Psychology, University of Washington,

Multiple Conditional Tranformations
Greetings, I'm learning R and I'm stuck on a basic concept: how to specify a logical condition once and then perform multiple transformations under that condition. The program below is simplified to demonstrate the goal. Its results are exactly what I want, but I would like to check the logical state of gender only once and create both (or any number of) scores at once.

[LLVMdev] LLVM loop vectorizer
Hi Alex, I'm not aware of efforts on loop coalescing in LLVM, but probably polly can do something like this. Also, one related thought: it might be worth making it a separate pass, not a part of loop vectorizer. LLVM already has several 'utility' passes (e.g. loop rotation), which primarily aims at enabling other passes. Thanks, Michael > On Feb 15, 2016, at 6:44 AM, RCU

[LLVMdev] LLVM loop vectorizer
Hello. I am trying to vectorize a CSR SpMV (sparse matrix vector multiplication) procedure but the LLVM loop vectorizer is not able to handle such code. I am using cland and llvm version 3.4 (on Ubuntu 12.10). I use the -fvectorize option with clang and -loop-vectorize with opt-3.4 . The CSR SpMV function is inspired from

[LLVMdev] LLVM loop vectorizer
Hi Alex, I think the changes you want are actually not vectorizer related. Vectorizer just uses data provided by other passes. What you probably might want is to look into routine Loop::getStartLoc() (see lib/Analysis/LoopInfo.cpp). If you find a way to improve it, patches are welcome:) Thanks, Michael > On Jun 3, 2016, at 6:13 PM, Alex Susu <alex.e.susu at gmail.com> wrote: >

Serial Date
Hello R Help, I'm working in a project with a software that register date and time data in serial time format. This format is used by excel, for exemple. In this format, 40597.3911423958 is 2011/2/23 09:23:15. First part is number os days since 1900/1/1, and second part is a fraction of a day. I need to make this transformation in R, and use it to make some algebrian operations. I found that

Linear regression with tranformed dependant variable
Dear all,?I am trying to fit a multiple linear regression model with a transformed dependant variable (the normality assumption was not verified...).?I have realised a sqrt(variable) transformation...?The results are great, but I don't know how to interprete the beta coefficients... Is it possible to do another transformation to get interpretable beta coefficients to express the variations in

[OT] Inject XML into page and tranform with XSL
Hi, Is it possible to recieve an xml repsonse from my rails app, and then, client side, inject the xml into the page without reloading and have it apply an xslt? Like an AJAX call, but ajax is unavailable to me. My very limited understanding suggests that xslt is only done at run time in safari at least. If I can''t get thsi to work the other option I''ve thought of is to use

how to do power transformation for time series data?
I am dealing with a seasonal time series data. In order to ger rid of the nonstationarity of the variance, i need to perform power tranformation to the data and choose the best lambda value. In Mass package, there is a function called 'boxcox' to do power tranformation but it only deals with linear model. Is there anyone who knows the other function that cannot perform power tranformation
