observation limits on correlog and mantel?
Hello, I am working with two datasets with ~5,200 observations. Apparently, neither the correlog function (ncf package) nor the mantel function (ecodist package) can handle these datasets. Does anyone have any experience about the maximum number of observations these functions can handle? I am considering partitioning them into smaller subsets. This would not be an ideal

P-values in ncf package
Group, I'm currently trying to find out how the function correlog in the ncf package may be useful to me for calculating cross-correlograms. The function's output includes P-values for all distance classes, but it seems that only positive values can become significant. Is this true and correct? If so, why? Thanks in advance. Ren? GAMs and GAMMS with correlated acoustic data
Greetings This is a long email. I'm struggling with a data set comprising 2,278 hydroacoustic estimates of fish biomass density made along line transects in two lakes (lakes Michigan and Huron, three years in each lake). The data represent lakewide surveys in each year and each data point represents the estimate for a horizontal interval 1 km in length. I'm interested in comparing

Dear listers, I was used to package pgirmess under Windows with everything OK, but, for the first time, I had a trial this afternoon on Ubuntu 7.10 gutsy (I have a double boot computer and work more and more under unix) and R 2.7.0. Everything went OK except this: sudo R CMD check pgirmess ..... * checking examples ... ERROR Running examples in 'pgirmess-Ex.R' failed. The error most

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list. I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without modifications. How did I try it? Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock ) Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee prep-out.log The build failed at the end: Processing files: kernel-xenU-devel-2.6.9-67.0.20.EL Checking
