question on "yum --enablerepo=centos "
I'm installing Fruity for Nagios using the 4.4 Single Server CD and want
to force upgrade PHP 4 to PHP 5 without having to upgrade everything on
CentOSplus.
In order to install Nagios, I have to first enable RPMforge. However,
to use Fruity, I have to use PHP 5, which isn't included in the RPMforge
repository, unless I enable CentOSplus and yum update/upgrade everything
(which I did

Red Hat commercial support for CentOS/Fedora
Someone told me that if you have a CentOS or Fedora server, you can pay a
Red Hat yearly fee and get them to support it (because the environments are
so similar).
Can anyone here substantiate this claim?

high performance open source DHCP solution?
The free DHCP solution, ISC, seems to be having scaling issues (i.e.
handling only about 200 DHCPDISCOVER and 20 DHCPRENEW requests), and I
was wondering if anyone had any open source suggestions of solutions
that could scale much better?
(Ideally, I could find a free version of a solution like Nominum, but
I know that's asking for much.)
Anyone have any suggestions?

best way to upgrade php4 -> php5 on CentOS?
What is the best way to upgrade PHP4 to PHP5 on CentOS? I see from "rpm -qa"
that I'm running PHP-4.3.9.
Should I uninstall this old PHP4 package and then reinstall PHP5? Or is
there some cool yum upgrade thing I might run?
This is a VMware virtual box for testing, so I'm more concerned about
learning what to do, rather than interrupting anything.

f/oss routing solution?
I'm looking for an open source router solution, and someone from the list
recently recommended zebra (www.zebra.org). I haven't yet identified all my
needs, but I'm guessing that it will do all my routing needs for a, say,
class C set of IP addresses, particularly if I ever have to do anything
BGP-related.
Anyone have any pointers before I delve in? Or possibly a recommendation

CentOS Plus PHP5 upgrade.
Hi Folks,
I have some users who have a 64-bit CentOS 4.x install (current),
which was installed with @Everything and then some annoying packages
strategically removed (mrtg, pegasus*, mailman...) and they have
decided they have a need for php5.
I find on the web this instruction for doing this:
http://www.centos.org/centos/4/centosplus/Readme.txt
So I try to do this, and I get:
# rpm -e
