corrupt rpm problem
Here is the output from yum -y upgrade without the error parts...
Its odd because it updated all of these first time round. I have dared
reboot the box yet, for fear it won't come back up...

Build environment for totem-2.16.7-7.el5_6.1.src.rpm
This package has a build requirement 'gecko-devel' which is fulfilled by
'xulrunner-devel'. But in the process of building the browser plugins
two tools named 'xpidl' and 'xpt_link' are necessary. They werde once
part of 'gecko-devel' but are now replaced by other tools. I haven't
found any package that has these tools all the way back to 5.0.

Balsa problem
Wondering if anyone here has built Balsa for Centos-7.
I've used it on Centos 5 and 6 for years, though I had to compile
it myself.
It compiles cleanly on c7, but when run I keep getting error messages
that say "Failure to sync mailbox xxxx" that seem to happen when I try
to view a mailbox that has new/unread mail, or perhaps it happens when
a mailbox receives new mail whilei Balsa

Circular RPM dependencies...
Hi.
I encountered a following problem, if I state for example:
package{"aspell-en": ensure => absent, }
package{"aspell": ensure => absent, }
I get error in logs because of dependencies. It seems that puppet uses
''yum'' for installation on CentOS and ''rpm -e'' for removal of packages,
so it cannot handle this kind of dependencies:

32-bit Centos 5.1 kickstart hangs on xen domU HVM installation
I am trying to a install Centos 5.1 32-bit Xen HVM DomU onto a Centos 5.1
64bit DomU with the default xen installed and the kickstart hangs at random
points during the install process. Sometimes retrieving the image, sometimes
formatting the filesystem, sometimes installing the packages, etc.
I tried upgrading to xen 3.2 and encounter the same problem before
rebuilding back to stock Centos 5.1

libesmtp binary RPM ???
Anyone know where I can find a libesmtp binary RPM for EL5/Centos 5?
(and maybe a RPM for Balsa, too?) I have an old balsa rpm, but there
are newer versions available as source.
Thanks!

Packages installation in CentOs
Hi,
I have a customized CentOS 5.5 kernel. I want it to upgrade it to CentOS 7.
The approach I have decided was to take the CentOS 7 and then install the
customized packages that are there in the CentOS 5.5.
While trying to install the customized packages, I could install most of
the packages, but I couldn't install the below in the latest CentOS 7.
1. rhpl
2. mod_perl

Not seeing other folders with some clients
Hi,
With dovecot 1.0.2, depending on the client I can only see inbox, or all
the folders. I see all the folders with pine and balsa, but can see only
the inbox with squirel mail and thunderbird. Any idea what's going on here
?
Thanks.
Yves.

Using Thunderbird as local mail reader
Hi!
I'm trying to figure out how to use Thunderbird as a local mail reader.
So far I don't see any way to configure it other than as a POP3 or IMAP mail reader,
but I get my mail locally and would like to try using Tbird to read it.
What am I overlooking?
Thanks in advance!

I'm struggeling to fix the superscript of a label of a figure axis. For some reason R doesn't recognize the "hat" symbol.

DTMF to Email
I need some suggestions (not necessarily using Asterisk?) on how to
accomplish the following in the easiest way possible. I would like to have a
~3 prompt VM system, that would ask for some numbers from a caller (case
number, id and another id). It would then take their DTMF presses and format
an email to a predetermined address (i.e. the email always goes to the same
place). I don't really
