[Fwd: Re: WBC subcomponents.]
Hi Nikita - This looks excellent, except that I don''t feel we have a good basis for the estimates yet. This has major architectural value as it gives a component breakdown and should be recorded as such on the architecture wiki. When you do these component breakdowns it is important to identify what interfaces are offered and used by the components (this is the static aspect of

architecture: "windows" reintegration/recovery
Hello, first a bit of clarification: this message is probably missing important context for a regular lustre-discuss@ reader, and moreover, discusses some ideas that were introduced only very recently and are documented nowhere. "Windows" in the following bear no relation to the certain software platform. :-) Windows architecture is at http://arch.lustre.org/index.php?title=Windows It

help with combining data frames
Dear R user, I'm relative new and need some help / advise from you. I have organised my data in several frames, mainly because the data came from different sources. One common variable in all data frames is the day post transplantation. I would like to combine the data frame to one big data frame which contains all the data, however no duplicate rows should occour (only one row for one

storing SOM epoch in EA
Good day, some time ago we discussed that it would be very helpful to store epoch in inode on mds. the perfect solution could be to store epoch in old inode body, but there is no much space for this in the body and with DMU we''ll have this problem again. given the minimal inode size we use on MDS is 512 bytes, we can store upto 13 stripes in the body. larger EAs go to a dedicated block.

Help with STL function in R compared to S-Plus
I am trying to understand the nuances of STL (seasonal trend decomposition with loess) based on William Cleveland's (and others?) original development. I do not understand the specification or use of "frequency components" or equivalent "low-pass filter" components in the stl() function. I have run the stl() function on a standard example data (co2) in both S-Plus and

WIN 98 & XPP w/Samba+LDAP PDC...HELP!
Hey, I just got done setting up a Samba+LDAP PDC using the idealx tools on my fedora core 1 machine. I have created a user named 'testuser1' :uid=1000(testuser1) gid=513(Domain Users) groups=513(Domain Users). As 'testuser1' logs on WIN98 client, it is authenticating 'testuser1' as a 'nobody':(uid=99, gid=99) (pid 19880) As I try to join the domain from XP pro

4.2 RDP problem
I am having the problem explained in the thread subject: samba 4.2 RDP problem The problem is when signing in a domain user via RDP. The authentications works but the machine hangs on the Welcome screen. In the samba log the last thing I see is: rpc command: WINREG_OPENHKLM As mentioned in that thread, changing the auth to: auth methods = sam, sam_ignoredomain, unix, winbind, wbc,

Multiple plots on one device using stl
G'day, I am looking at monthly reports, and have three series of monthly data from 2007 to 2009. I would like to show the season decomposition of these two series side by side on the one device, however using plot doesn't seem to respect any use of layout(matrix(1:3, ncol=3)) or par(mfcol=c(1,3)). I'm guessing that this means that the plot(stl) perhaps uses them, but I can't find

Understanding TS objects
R Help Community I'm trying to understand time series (TS) objects. Thought I understood but recently have run into a series of error messages that I'm not sure how to handle. I have 15 years of quarterly data and I typically create a TS object via something like... data.ts <- ts(mydata, start = 2002, frequency = 4) this create a matric as opposed to a vector object as I receive a

Help with STL function to decompose
Hi everyone. I'm having some troubles with STL function to decompose some data. My issue is that I have monthly data from September 2005 up to August 2010 i. e. 60 observations. I define it in the following way: *u<-read.csv("C:/CELEBREX.csv",header = TRUE) u.ts<-ts(u, start=c(2005,9), frequency=12) * The issue is that when I try to use stl(u.ts, 'per') Then the

More help with stl?
I don't understand the output of stl. As a simple example: y <- numeric(1:365) y[250] = 1 stl <- stl(ts(y, frequency=7), s.window="periodic") This returns without error but the results are puzzling to me. If you plot the results it is probably easiest to visualize what I mean. plot(stl) This shows the original data (a single spike at 250). A trend (which also shows a bump

[LLVMdev] Forward: Discussion about custom memory allocators for STL
Hi, There is a discussion thread on llvm-commits list about a possibility of using custom memory allocators for STL to improve the performance and reduce the memory pressure of STL containers, e.g. std::set. I thought that this discussion may be interesting for a wider audience and therefore I re-post the messages on llvm-dev as well. It would be interesting to hear what others think about -

ts and stl functions - still a problem
Hi I am still having problems with using the stl function, when I read the csv file into R into a file called tkr and use dim(tkr) the result is 132 1 which is fine. When coerce it into a trime series using ts either: tstkr <- ts(t(tkr), deltat=1/12) or tstkr <- ts(c(tkr), deltat=1/12) and use the stl function I get the following error: Error in

stl function
Hi, I have a monthly time series with missing values and I would use stl function to identify seasonality. I tried all settings of na.action but the result is the same: stl(tm245,s.window=11, na.action=na.pass) Error in stl(tm245, s.window = 11, na.action = na.pass) : NA/NaN/Inf in foreign function call (arg 1) Can you help me?
