Locking problem
Hi all! I am using Debian Sarge with Samba version 3.0.14a-Debian and experience a locking problem: the program is a linux port of a Clipper program compiled with xHarbour (www.xharbour.org). It uses byte-range-locking to lock a record of a dbf database. If I mount the server directory over an smbmount and start 2 clients on the server accessing the server directory over the smbmount, the

XBASE error under Wine
Hi. I'm migrating the system of a friend from Windows to Linux. He used a program made with xBase (programmed by him), and unfortunately isn't compatible with xHarbour. So I tried it with Wine, but I find these errors when I open the program. :( fixme:ntdll:find_reg_tz_info Can't find matching timezone information in the registry for bias 180, std (d/m/y): 15/03/2009, dlt (d/m/y):

Please correct this bugs in vorbis win32 environment
If You want to compile vorbis libraries under win32 environment you can experience some problems: 1) If you unzip vorbis libraries, you will have 3 directories: "libogg-1.0", "libvorbis-1.0" and "vorbis-tools-1.0". You need to rename them to "ogg", "vorbis", "vorbis-tools". Otherwise batch files or even dsp project files, won't work.

rpm building
i've tried to make rpm package of flac 0.10, but compilation fails near start, 'cause compilator couldn't find .h files in libFLAC directory, when it tries to build this library. generated makefile in this directory contains "-I.$(srcdir)" in compilator options, though it should be "-I.$(includedir)" strange, but ./configure; make; make install running from

[LLVMdev] TR : LLVM and VHDL simulation
Thanks for your answers. In one year, I am going to have something like a semester project. The idea I have for this project would be to create (for simulation only) a VHDL front-end to LLVM, compile some VHDL code with the newly created compilator and also with a commercial compilator and simulator and compare the performance of both simulations. I won't have the time to do a full VHDL

PHP probes
Hi all, I remember at OSCON 2005 there was talk of adding DTrace probes to PHP (in fact, I have a photo of Bryan and Wes working on it!). Did they ever get into the upstream branch, ''cause I don''t recall seeing a --enable-dtrace (or similar) configuration option when I recently built PHP 5.2.1. If not, is there an ETA? FLAC__stream_decoder_seek_absolute calling write callback
Hello, The API documentation [1] `FLAC__stream_decoder_seek_absolute` says: "Flush the input and seek to an absolute sample. Decoding will resume at the given sample. Note that because of this, the next write callback may contain a partial block." I expected that subsequent `process_single` calls would return data starting exactly from the sample I've seeked to. To my surprise

workaround for numeric problems
Dear R-people, I have to compute C - -(pnorm(B)*dnorm(B)*B + dnorm(B)^2)/pnorm(B)^2 This expression seems to be converging to -1 if B approaches to -Inf (although I am unable to prove it). R has no problems until B equals around -28 or less, where both numerator and denominator go to 0 and you get NaN. A simple workaround I did was C <- ifelse(B > -25, -(pnorm(B)*dnorm(B)*B

Problems to configure IMAP Quota
Hello, We manage a mail server using Dovecot under Debian. Since a long time, we run nightly a script permitting to display the storage usage of each user on the webmail, using internal calls. The usage on each mailbox is stored in a Mysql database. For several reasons, we would now want to use the IMAP quota feature, not only to let users have the quota displayed from their Mail clients. But

Can anyone help me? I know this is all to little information, but I don't know were to start. I think there is something wrong in how or were the C++ or fortran compilator is installed?? Thanks, Geir

DragonEgg for gcc-5 and llvm-3.6
Hi, My brother (Tarun) and I have been attempting to get dragonegg working with gcc-5 and llvm-3.6. So far we have had some success and most of the compilator and validator tests of dragonegg pass. However the following validator tests fail and we don't understand why. The Validator :: c++/2007-01-06-ELF-Thunk-Sections.cpp The Validator :: c/ExternFunctionWeakref.c The Validator

Incoming SIP calls not being sent to "s" extension
I was troubleshooting a problem with incoming calls to my VoicePulse Open Access (NOT Connect) numbers not coming in and I noticed the following in the SIP debug... >Found peer 'roamer1-vpoa' >Looking for s00****** in ivr-incoming Why are the calls getting sent to this weird "s00******" extension and not the usual "s" extension in context ivr-incoming as they

[PATCH 1/2] mllib: add and use read_first_line_from_file
Move the read_password_from_file helper in Password to mllib with a more generic name, and use it in place of the former. Also, use it in v2v instead of reading the whole file contaning a password: given that the documentation says that the whole content is used, there will not be newlines in the password file, so the behaviour will be preserved. The oly difference is that newline is no more an
