Realtime and Local Channel Crash Problem 1.8.3-rc2
Hi,
I have been having a problem with asterisk crashing when using local channels and realtime on asterisk 1.8.3-rc2.
The example given here is I think the easiest way to reproduce this problem.
In extensions.conf I have:
[internal]
switch => Realtime/extensions/p
exten => 301,1,Answer()
exten => 301,2,Dial(Local/501 at internal)
exten => 301,3,Hangup()
exten => 501,1,Answer()

Asterisk 13 - sorcery realtime for pjsip publish objects
Good Morning,
After further investigation, I found that the res_pjsip_publish_asterisk
module does not use the realtime sorcery wizard, but instead only reads
from the configuration files. I've been able to patch the module, using
the logic from the other modules to learn how to make the sorery
configuration read from the other sorcery wizards and it's now working for

Realtime device update weirdness
Hello,
We use Asterisk Realtime for our billing software. 200+ installations of Asterisk with Realtime, but I see this for the first time.
Asterisk 1.4.17, Addons 1.4.5, No patches, no NAT - just plain simple installation.
With debug I can see:

populating asterisk realtime tables from configfiles

trying to setup realtime mysql voicemail but no sucess. I keep getting this

Wiki (pjsip+realtime) says don't put the transports into realtime. Still true?

REALTIME application vs RealTime function
Thanks.
In app_realtime, it is very easy to get a value of a field by only
applying the realtime application. However, in func_realtime, we need
to get the key-value pair according to the position of it by using
function CUT. After that, we need to apply another CUT to get the
value. It will cause the following problems.

Realtime dialplan application versus REALTIME dialplan function
Hi All,
I'm upgrading some PBX's from 1.2 to 1.4 and having a bit of trouble with
converting the Realtime application to the REALTIME function. I have the
method down and understand simplistically what is going on, at least enough
to get my old 1.2 apps to run in 1.4 functions. I do not understand why
change from the app to the func? What the benefits?

Hi all,
In version 1.2, there is a realtime function and it is very easy to
use with prefix.
exten => s,1,RealTime(table|name|peter|user_)
and we can easy get back the value as user_name, user_id, etc.
However, I found the the function will be depreciated in 1.4. There
is a replacement using application REALTIME. I found that it is very
troublesome to use it.

configuration, but now I stumble into a problem.
