Ignoring missing elements in data.frame()
Hello, I am trying to make a data frame from many elements after running a function which creates many elements, some of which may not end up being real elements due to errors or missing data. For example, I have the following three elements p1s, p2s, and p3s. p9s did not generate the same data as there was an error in the function for some reason. I currently have to delete p9s from the

BradleyTerry "subscript out of bounds"
I don't see the problem with the following... the citations and baseball data work fine, but my simulated data seems to give BTm a headache. What am I missing? --- library(BradleyTerry) library(doBy) ng <- 100 players <- factor( sort( c( "jeff", "mike", "paul", "rich" ) ) ) np <- length( players ) p1 <- factor( c( rep( "jeff", ng )

D channel initialization
Hi I have an asterisk box with digium hardware connected to a Siemens EWSD version 15 using a crossed E1 cable. The asterisk is serving as a h323 media gateway. When i start asterisk, the Siemens gives me this alarm: REPORTES GENERADOS EN LA EWSD AES/V15SBOL/BOLCBK1V51327079/013 05-06-06 11:25:38 7773 3062/03728 HF.ARCHIVE-80040

Applying some equations over all unique combinations of 4 variables
#I have a data set that looks like this. A bit more complicated actually with # three factor levels but these calculations need to be done on one factor at a #I then have a set of different rates that are applied #to it. #dataset cata <- c( 1,1,6,1,1,2) catb <- c( 1,2,3,4,5,6) doga <- c(3,5,3,6,4, 0) data1 <- data.frame(cata, catb, doga) rm(cata,catb,doga) data1 # start rates #

Longer synonym for R?
[This message is not always serious, but it addresses a real problem.] A problem with R's present name is that it is not very well suited to search engines, although Google at least seems to cope as long as you have sufficient other terms to filter out Toys R Us. Initials remain a problem. I suppose "R" is just too culty to do away with, but perhaps we could come up with a longer

Channels ID / Soft Hang Up
Hello, I am wanting to close a specific channel for example; SofthangUp(SIP/EXTEN-UNIQUEID) but the problem is the channel is assigned a unique id as well. The need fits into the idea of receiving a call from a higher status user and thus closing a specific channel to allow the higher priority call to route through the dial plan to the freed extension. Any ideas welcome. Many thanks
