To those interested in the foreign FreeBSD secure code.
Hi The number of people who have had something to contribute here is is GREAT! For those not in the know, there is an initiative afoot to get a South African CVS site going that will contain the cryptography code that is otherwise illegal to get out of the USA. There has already been a fair amount of discussion about the code and the site, but mail is now getting difficult to deal with. I have

DES, eBones and crypt availble for non-US!
Hello World! (In particular, that part of it ouside the USA and Canada) I have (with official sanction of the organisation concerned) a LEGAL site for the distribution of crypt and Kerberos code. The secure code (crypt) is _identical_ to the US code. It originated in South Africa and Australia, and has never been to the US, so it is totally kosher. The Kerberos (eBones actually) code stared out

Regular time series with irregular start and end dates
Dear R users, I have a quick question regarding creating an index for a zoo object. I am using R 2.12 on winxp. I have read through the R archives searching for information on dates and time series analysis and nothing seems to cover my question. I am extracting data from a time series of remote sensing data. The frequency of the data is 16 days which means I cant use ts (ts likes months single

Re: snapshot anomaly
I had the same problem yesterday. I found the solution from this article https://kashyapc.fedorapeople.org/virt/lc-2012/snapshots-handout.html. According to the article it deletes the tracking metadata by libvirt. You can physically remove the snapshot now that there is no tracking stream data by libvirt On Wed, Aug 23, 2017 at 4:56 PM, Doug Hughes <doug.hughes@keystonenap.com> wrote:

Add host
Hi, I have two host machines both installed with libvirt and virt-manager, which provides me with GUI. I have virtual machines running in one of the host. Now I want to migrate some of the virtual machines to the other machines. I am trying to migrate using the Virtual Machine Manager. When I select migrate, it pops up a window to choose the new host. The dropdown menu to choose the new host for

Re: Add host
In file > Add connection I use ssh with login root. For this, you’ll have to add your ssh public key to the authorizedkeys file of the root user of the second host. Be carefull. Unless I’m behind with the features. Migrating hosts with virt-manager is only supported with shared storage. To migrate a host including the storage, you’ll have to use virsh. labelling plots with ancillary data in data.frame
Hi All, I am busy using R to do some regression modelling and have been using plot(x,y,"") to visualise my variables. I would now like to label my points using data stored in the data.frame used for the regression analysis. For example each of my data points is made up of a field measured forest volume value and a remotely sensed vegetation estimate (NDVI). Each point is an enumeration

Request for Help
Good Day The attached document refers. I have recently attended an introduction course to R, and now wish to apply the program into my work analysis. The spreadsheet contains water quality data sampled from different locations within a catchment. I wish to group the variables per point (Point Name), Year (all samples per year eg 1985 etc) These should be averages of each year. Lastly, I wish

pdf filenames in while loop
Dear R users, I am a remote sensing researcher currently studying the use of LiDAR data for quantifying tree height, in particular I would like to determine the sample size needed to capture and quantify canopy height variability. To do this I have employed the use of automap(), which automatically calculates variograms including reporting the range of the variogram. The program is easy to use

Time series analysis with irregular time-series
Dear R users I am currently investigating time series analysis using an irregular time series. Our study is looking at vegetation change in areas of alien vegetation growth after clearing events. The irregular time series is sourced from Landsat ETM+ data, over a six year period I have 38 scenes. For certain periods I have monthly data while for others, images are up to three months apart. So far

Subsetting a zooreg object using window / subset
Dear R users, I am currently working in subsetting a zooreg() object using either window or subset. I have a solution but it may be a bit cumbersome when I start working with actual data. Your inputs would be greatly appreciated. Example: I have a zooreg() object that starts in 1997 and ends in 2001. This object contains daily data for the 4 years

[LLVMdev] llvm-mc build failure
Dear llvm, Recently (approximately a week ago) Clang and LLVM started to failed at building. Assuming it was my incompetence, I cleared everything and started witha fresh checkout (not that I changed it though). I am on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 64-Bit. And I configure and compile with CMake. The error message I get at approximatley 66% is as follows: Linking CXX executable ../../bin/llvm-mc

MASS package?
Did the MASS package disappear? Specifically, I'm looking for a function to find the MCD (robust measure of shape and location) for a multi-dimensional data matrix. Anyone know anything about this?
