Hello,
I'm a newbie to wine. I've installed
codeweavers-wine-20010305-1.i386.rpm to Redhat Linux 6.2; Windows
version is win98.
I've tested the wine install and can run sol.exe, micrsoft office apps,
and a Pegasus Email client just fine.
The main purpose of installing wine is to run an EDI windows client
server application - Gentran Server 5.2.1.04. I need the Gentran

I wonder how valid his message is. We actually write this MSR with
all ones during boot.
However, considering involved functions

Request Infomation
Hello, I would like to know if is possible to load functions developed
by users of R. I have been working in a function related to calculate
some indicators to develop a credit scoring. I would like to know
about the procedure to load this function and create a package for
this kind of subject, allowing everyone to get access to it.

plot categorical variable with percentage infomation
Dear All,
Suppose I have a categorical variable
a=as.factor(sample(1:3,10,replace=T))
plot(a) and hist(as.numeric(a),freq=F) would give the histogram of it.
But I do not know how to add the counts or percentage information for
plot.factor().
hist() can do it but as a numeric variable, the x-axis is not 3
categories in this case.
Thank you for any suggestion.
Best wishes,
Jie

Tinyproxy and shorewall setup
Hello I''m trying to setup tinyproxy and shorewall on a LEAF Bering firewall. What I''d like to do is block all HTTP connections to the internet on port 80 and 8080 and force users to use port 8888.
So in shorewall/rules I have
ACCEPT loc fw tcp 8888
DROP loc fw tcp 80,8080
The ACCEPT works fine but the DROP does not seem to work. If I

Bug#810964: [Xen-devel] [BUG] EDAC infomation partially missing
I haven't yet done as much experimentation as Andreas Pflug has, but I
can confirm I'm also running into this bug with Xen 4.4.1.
I've only tried Linux kernel 3.16.43, but as Dom0:
EDAC MC: Ver: 3.0.0
AMD64 EDAC driver v3.4.0
EDAC amd64: DRAM ECC enabled.
EDAC amd64: NB MCE bank disabled, set MSR 0x0000017b[4] on node 0 to enable.
EDAC amd64: ECC disabled in the BIOS or no ECC

RFC 8305 Happy Eyeballs in OpenSSH
Hello,
I use hosts that are dual stack configured (IPv4 and IPv6) and it
happens that connectivity through one or the other is broken and
timeouts. In these case connection to the SSH server can take quite some
time as ssh waits for the first address to timeout before trying the
next.
So I gave a stab at implementing RFC 8305. This patch implements part of
it in sshconnect.c.

Class variable does not retain its value in rails
Howdy,
Newbie question: how come my class variable ("static" in Java/C#)
doesn''t retain its value in Rails? The following code works well in the
Ruby console (the number is incremented all the time even though new
instances are created), but in Rails it always restarts at 1.
In the /libs/ folder:
class StaticTest

Apologies accepted! :) Seriously though, the Samba team has done a great job
with the AD stuff. I was pretty much able to drop Samba4 in as a replacement
for our SBS 2008 with virtually no issues. What issues I had were mostly
Microsoft idiosyncracies (refer to my GPO

I was wondering if there is a function in R that only computes the eigenvector
corresponding to the largest/smallest eigenvalue of an arbitrary real matrix.
Thanks
