Unix Fast File System (UFS/FFS) 1/2 - (usage/install)
There is a confusion about the name of this file system, then I
decided to contact the author (Kirk McKusick) who replied:
"The name has always been confusing (my bad). The code is broken into
two parts, the part that handles naming (UFS where the U stands for
Unix), and the part that handles disk layout (FFS where the F stands
for Fast).
When the two parts are put together they are called

Where are phone registrations kept?
Hi,
I've built an Asterisk HA cluster by means of heartbeat and drbd. The
following folders are stored on shared storage and referred to by means of
symbolic links:
/etc/asterisk
/var/lib/asterisk
/usr/lib/asterisk
/var/spool/asterisk
/var/log/asterisk
I was under the impression that phone registrations were stored
in /var/lib/asterisk/astdb and as such preserved when failing over.
But

Too many registrations!
Why are there separate registrations for every tab in the Wine HQ? Shouldn't there only be ONE registration for HQ, AppDB, Bugzilla and Forums? Having separate registrations for different parts of a site is just silly and definitely not user friendly.

pjsip: how to survive rejected registrations?
Hi,
sometimes 'pjsip show registrations' shows registrations to the VOIP provider
as Rejected. I have already added
max_retries = 0
auth_rejection_permanent = no
in pjsip_wizard.conf and still asterisk does not recover.
I need asterisk to keep trying to register and to renew the registration
without requiring manual intervention. How can I make asterisk do that?

pjsip realtime registrations not pulling from ODBC
I have a pjsip install that is not pulling it's realtime registrations from
an ODBC database.
When I have them directly pull from a MySQL database everything seems to
work.
I am having trouble finding a requirements document for the pjsip realtime
registrations.
Is there some kind of special config that has to be used to trigger the
connection for realtime registrations over ODBC?

Fwd: Re: Disable IAX1 Registrations
Just in case anyone else is looking for this information, I'm posting the
answer here. I do need to double check if this works with asterisk >= 0.9.0.
I've heard rumors that IAX1 support has been removed in newer versions.

SIP registrations not staying registered
Hi,
I have several SIP registrations on my Asterisk box. Sometimes, I try to
call in the inbound number from 1 and find it doesn't work. When I do
sip show registry, it's showing Unregistered (and sometimes there are
several which are showing Unregistered). If I type reload, it registers
and works fine straight away.
Is there something I can set to keep registrations connected all the

using round-robin dns for sip registrations
I finally decided to get a little source code dirt under my fingernails
tonight and dig through chan_sip.c to understand how registrations are
currently implemented. The hope is to perhaps at least seed some ideas
about how to make registrations to a server name, which resolves to
multiple IPs, either attempt each IP in the order they're returned by dns,
or, simply attempt to register with

SIP Registrations and DUNDi
Hello list
I've been implementing an asterisk based cluster, and are having grave problems with SIP.
My current implementation monitors registrations through the Asterisk Manager interface, but it seems to not register all registrations.
Because of this, ive been looking at DUNDi, to implement the cluster. Has anybody done this with success?
It seems that it uses the extensions instead of
