newbie HWRITER package question
Hi, I am playing with hwriter examples given in "example" page. Here's what I've done: > library (hwriter) > > p = openPage ('table.html') > hwrite (1:5, p) > hwrite (iris[1:3, 1:3], p, row.bgcolor='#ffdc98') > closePage (p) > > browseURL('table.html') What I get is not as nice as what I see via the "example" page. Save R2HTML as an object instead of file
Hi Is it possible to instead of getting the HTML code written to a file, get it saved as a string in an object instead? Or is there any kind of package that can do this? //Joel -- View this message in context: http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/Save-R2HTML-as-an-object-instead-of-file-tp3066776p3066776.html Sent from the R help mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

R2HTML Report number format, or Better Way?
Here I am again with question I'll feel foolish for asking, when I see the answer. I'm trying to produce a report and here's where I get stuck: How do I get R2HTML to produce the same number format? Particularly remove the decimal places for Par and Sal. Are there better methods to produce this type of report? Thanks, L.A. R version 2.10.0 XP

no write access for help files
Hi   I'm using R v2.8 under Windows*) and I'm trying to install a new package (local zip file), but I get the message below. I followed some advice at http://cran.r-project.org/bin/windows/base/rw-FAQ.html (4.2 onwards), but to no avail. How can I tell R to save the help files to an alternative location? I don't have write access to the default location.   >

Reproducible research
I am investigating some approaches to reproducible research. I need in the end to produce .html or .doc or .docx. I have used hwriter in the past but have had some problems with verbatim output from R. Tables are also not particularly convenient. I am interested in R2HTML and R2wd in particular, and possibly odfWeave. Does anyone have sample documents using any of these approaches which

How to provide a result from D(f(x), "x") to a curve(f'(x)) ???
Hi all, I want to provide the result from D() to curve(), because I want to plot the k-th derivative of some functions. Actually, I copy from console the result given by D() and paste inside curve(). With a lot of functions and high degree differentiation this process is tedious. Can I provide directly?? # what I actually have done (very simple function) D(expression(x^3), "x") # copy

Hi, I'm a newbie with Samba but believe me prior to posting to the list I have read almost everything out there and still don't get my issue solved. I have also re-installed Samba but still no luck. I have Samba 3.0.21b installed and had it working for a day. I've installed it using security = ads with winbind and everything was smooth except when I started configuring PAM so

Group Membership Retrieval not using kerberos authentication
Hello, I have an Active Directory domain to which a Linux machine with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is joined using Winbind. The version of Winbind is 4.15.13. On this machine, users authenticate via SSH using PAM (pam_winbind), and I need to know their group membership. NSS is configured for this purpose. When users authenticate via username and password, there's no issue retrieving the list of groups

uefi and bios bootable optical media
We have been using syslinux (V4.05) in our product for years without a problem. Since we encounter more and more systems that do a UEFI boot by default we want to support that too. So I've been using syslinux V6.03 to create usb sticks and harddisks to allow both bios and uefi boot which works fine. The problem I run into now is that it is not possible to create a dvd that is capable of
