Hi everyone
I have banking data set in long format with 4 columns. One of these columns
is bank name which consist of 49 banks and I want the data for only 40
banks out of these 49
so can anyone help me on how to get this 40 banks data
My data looks like

Hi
I have monthly data and the dates are in MM/YY Format
I need to convert them into DD/MM/YY format by pasting 01 in place of DD to
all the observations in my Year Column
ex:
Year Stock Prices

02/2000 2
03/2000 3
I need to convert them to

shading line plot
Hi everyone,
I have a time series data set and I want to fill my line plot of this time
series with different colors
e.g
I want to fill portion related to 1995-1996 with blue , portion related to
1996-1997 with orange and then portion related to 1997-1998 with red
can anyone please help me.

Triangular filled contour plot
Hi all,
I am working on a filled contour plot which shows a triangular matrix data
set (as shown below). Is there a possibilty to draw a triangular filled
contour in a equilateral triangle (like a ternary plot)?
Thanks in advance
Johannes

contourplot:how to get it to label all contours like 'contour'
Hi,
one of the nice things about contour is that it labels all contour lines.
contourplot only labels each particular elevation a single time.
i.e., if there are two contour lines corresponding to z = 45, it will only
label one of them.
is there a way to get contourplot to automatically label all the contour lines,
even those that are repeated?
i ask because i want to plot contour plots *w/

[Mailman] question: contour plot for discrete data
Question:
I have matrix (n x3) that represents discrete data.
Each row of matrix is 3-D point (x,y,z). I would like
to get contour map (z value) at two dimension
(x,y). How can I use related contour function to do
this job?
I am not sure if I clarify this question. For example,
we can get point (x,y)
at 2 dimension according to first two columns of
matrix. Then I want to connect
same value

several Filled.contour plots on the same device...
hello -
a question about filled.contour plots, for which i haven't found a
response in previous posts - sorry if already treated.
i'd like to draw several filled.contour plots (that is, maps) on the same
device (a postscript file, actually). I know about layout(matrix) ,
split.screen or par(mfrow) : it works well for simple plots, but with
filled.contour plots, i get several pages

triangle contour plots
Suppose I have three numbers p1, p2, p3 with
0 <= p1,p2,p3 <= 1 and p1+p2+p3=1,
and a function f=f(p1,p2,p3) = f(p1,p2,1-p1-p2).
How to draw a contour plot of f() on the p1+p2+p3=1 plane,
that is, an equilateral triangle?
Functions triplot(), triangle.plot(), and ternaryplot() give
only scatterplots, AFAICS

Contour plot
Hello,
I would like to make a contourplot of the following data;
> x <- 1:10
> y <- 1:10
> z <- 100:110
By doing >contour(x,y,z) I get the following error;
"Error in contour.default(x, y, z) : no proper `z' matrix specified"
How do I fix this??
Kind regards, Datius Blaszijk

Fw: Contour plot
I understand that I need to have a (in this case) square matrix with all the
data. But the question now is;
- can the contourplot not interpolate the missing values
or alternatively
- I have fit a model to the z data (z = 100 + 0.5x + 0.5y). How can I make
from this model a "square" matrix z to make a contour plot?
Kind regards, Darius Blaszijk

smoothed contour lines
Hi all,
I'm trying to draw a contour plot
with rounded (smoothed) contour lines instead of sharp angles;
when the grid consists of only a few points
in x- and y- axis, the resulting contour
is in facts rather ugly since very sharp angles may appear.
I did not find any way to do it,
by using either "contour" or "contourplot" (from the lattice package),
I wonder if there

contour lines for levelplot
Hi,
I would like to add contour lines to a (trellis/lattice-) levelplot.
Sure, there is the "contour=TRUE" argument, but this uses
"cuts=..." (which is usually chosen very high for my plots. I guess
cuts=99 is the best you can do (?)) for plotting the contour lines.
Furthermore, I do not like the numbering of the contour lines this
way. Therefore, I tried to add a

plot filled.contour over continent map
Dear all,
As a newbie in R I would like to do the following (simple?) thing:
to plot a filled.contour plot over a map showing country boundaries (e.g. for Europe)
What i do is:
map('worldHires',xlim=c(-10,40),ylim=c(35,70),boundary = TRUE,border=0.1)
map.axes()
filled.contour(mslp, zlim=c(1000,1020),color.palette = colorRampPalette(c("blue", "white",

Using filled.contour and contour functions together
Dear R help contributors,
I'd like to plot ground temperature with time on X-axis and depth on Y-axis
on this datasets ( http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/file/n3301033/NEdaily.csv
NEdaily.csv ), and to do so I use the following commands:
library(RSEIS)
xNE <- seq(1, as.numeric(as.Date(max(NEdaily[[1]])) -
as.Date(min(NEdaily[[1]]))), 1)
yNE <- rev(c(-0.3, -0.5, -0.7, -0.9, -1.1,

Contour plots of four two-dimensional matrices
I have four large two-dimensional matrices of which I want to create contour
plots. Something like
filled.contour(<matrix>)
contourplot(<matrix>)
works but only gives me one plot at a time. If I combine the four matrices
into one three-dimensional matrix, which I'll name "seven", there should be
a way of doing something like this
contourplot(seven[,,k] for k in 1 to 4)
