R2WinBUGS
Dear R users, Can anyone tell me why I might get the error message "the array index is greater than the upper bound for t" in WinBUGS ? t is a vector I have defined. I have checked repeatedly that the array index for t does match with the upper bound till which the loop is run. I am facing this problem while calling the R2WinBUGS package and both in just WinBUGS as

data frame row statistics (mean)?
Hello, I am trying to calculate the mean value of each row in a data frame (d), I am having troubles and getting errors using the code I have written. Below is a brief example of the code, any thought or suggestions would be great. Thank you for your time, Doug # Example Code: d <- data.frame(st1=c(1,2,3,4), st2=c(2,5,6,7), st3=c(5,5,NA,7), st4=c(6,5,7,8)) avg <-

x tick labels - sparse?
Hi, I'm stuck on creating a plot with x tick labels for every Nth tick mark - how is that done? I don't see a simple solution to this in help(plot) or help(par) and what I've tried is not working, eg, the following does not work, although it seems intuitive to me that it should work: x <- seq(-100,1000,25) y <- x * x % find all the x values that are multiples of 100 tmp <-

interpolation and extremum location of a surface‏
Hello, I have a x,y,z file.Z is not corresponding to a simple analytical function of x and y (see below). I am trying to find the minimum location of this surface and the z value corresponding to this location by a spline interpolation or from a polynomial fit. I tried with the akima package but as the location of the point I am looking for (the minimum) is outside of the convex hull it's
