[PATCH 00/12] TV-out modesetting kernel patches.
This patch series adds TV-out modesetting support to the KMS
implementation.
I've tried to test it on all the hardware I've got at hand (that is
nv11, nv17, nv34, nv35, nv40, nv4b) with every possible output
combination; I believe it has reached a mergeable state, however it
depends on some commits from drm-next that haven't got into Linus'
tree yet, if you agree to merge this

[PATCHv2 01/10] drm/nouveau: Fix a lock up at NVSetOwner with nv11.
It seems it was only locking up in the context of
nouveau_hw_save_vga_fonts, when it actually did something (because
the console wasn't already in graphics mode).

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: Add DRM_NOUVEAU_DEBUG option
From: Matt Parnell <mparnell at gmail.com>
Sometimes we have DEBUG_FS enabled, but don't want output from certain modules.
Most modules make this an option, so I figured that Nouveau needed it too.

[PATCH v2 00/15] Runtime pm ref leak bonanza
Second iteration of my endeavour to rid nouveau, radeon and amdgpu of
runtime pm ref leaks.
Patches 1 to 8 are identical to v1.
Patch 9 of v1 modified the DRM core to turn off all CRTCs on driver
unload. Based on feedback by Daniel Vetter, I've replaced this with
a helper to turn off all CRTCs, which is called by nouveau, radeon
and amdgpu on unload. In other words, this is now opt-in.

SVIDEO and xrandr
Hello,
I've been trying to get my n17 card to do SVIDEO tv out

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation NV17 [GeForce4 MX 440] (rev a3)

It is close to working. The first issue is that it was outputting PAL, and I
found the module parameter and kernel boot config to change that:

[PATCH -next 0/7] drm: Remove many unnecessary NULL values
The NULL initialization of the pointers assigned by kzalloc() or
kunit_kzalloc() first is not necessary, because if the kzalloc() or
kunit_kzalloc() failed, the pointers will be assigned NULL, otherwise
it works as usual. so remove it.

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: use drm debug levels
- Use driver level (0x2) for NV_DEBUG instead of all levels
- Create a NV_DEBUG_KMS for KMS level (04) and use them in modesetting code
- Remove a few odd NV_TRACE calls and replace with NV_DEBUG_KMS

[PATCH] Add an option for Nouveau debugfs output that depends on DEBUG_FS and update help entry for Nouveau KMS
From: Matt Parnell <parwok at gmail.com>
drm/nouveau: Add DRM_NOUVEAU_DEBUG option
Sometimes we have DEBUG_FS enabled, but don't want output from certain modules.
Most modules make this an option, so I figured that Nouveau needed it too. I also
made it exlicit that CONSOLE_FRAMEBUFFER is needed for textmode use with KMS.

[PATCH 1/3] drm/nouveau: Ignore DCB I2C indices for on-chip TV-out.
The nv31m in bug 23212 claims its TV-out and LVDS are in the same
connector. Ignore it completely as it's otherwise useless.

CH7007A (AKA CH7006) TV OUT Support for NV11 (NVidia GeForce2 Go Dell I8K Laptop)
I believe that ch7006 is the only external encoder that's supposed to
work, so you're in luck. It sounds like it passes the nv04_tv_identify
stage of nv04_tv_create -- perhaps it fails later? Although based on
the prints, it's even doing dpms stuff (but it hits _detect a second
time... odd). Try booting with
nouveau.debug=debug drm.debug=0xe
That should provide a bunch more output as

[PATCH 00/37] [RFC] revamped modeset locking
Hi all,
First thing first: It works, I now no longer have a few dropped frames every 10s
on my testbox here with the pageflip i-g-t tests.
Random notes:
- New design has per-crtc locks to protect the crtc input-side (pageflip,
cursor) for r/w and the output state of the crtc (mode, dpms) as read-only. It
also required completely revamped fb lifecycle management, those are now
refcounted
