[PATCH 00/12] TV-out modesetting kernel patches.
This patch series adds TV-out modesetting support to the KMS implementation. I've tried to test it on all the hardware I've got at hand (that is nv11, nv17, nv34, nv35, nv40, nv4b) with every possible output combination; I believe it has reached a mergeable state, however it depends on some commits from drm-next that haven't got into Linus' tree yet, if you agree to merge this

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: use drm debug levels
- Use driver level (0x2) for NV_DEBUG instead of all levels - Create a NV_DEBUG_KMS for KMS level (04) and use them in modesetting code - Remove a few odd NV_TRACE calls and replace with NV_DEBUG_KMS Signed-off-by: Maarten Maathuis <madman2003 at gmail.com> --- drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_bios.c | 12 +++++----- drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_connector.c | 8 +++---

[PATCH] drm/nv04: fix null pointer dereferences of native_mode
Subject: [PATCH] drm/nv04: fix null pointer dereferences of native_mode nv_connector->native_mode is not set when no modes were found for the connector, so its existence can't be assumed. In nv04_dfp_mode_fixup, reject the mode if GPU scaling is enabled but native mode is not known. In nv04_dfp_mode_set, use clock value from nv_encoder->mode instead of nv_connector->native_mode. If

[RFC v2 00/20] drm/dp, i915, nouveau: Cleanup nouveau HPD and add DP features from i915
To start off: this patch series is less work to review then it looks - most (but not all) of the nouveau related work has already been reviewed elsewhere. Most of the reason I'm asking for an RFC here is because this code pulls a lot of code out of i915 and into shared DP helpers. Anyway-nouveau's HPD related code has been collecting dust for a while. [PATCH 01/10]: nouveau: assorted fixes
Hi, Here is my patch queue I accumulated over quite a long time. Patches 1-6 are bugfixes, and rest is mostly RFC. Comments are welcome. Best regards, Maxim Levitsky

[PATCH 1/8] drm/nouveau/kms/nv50-: Use atomic encoder callbacks everywhere
It turns out that I forgot to go through and make sure that I converted all encoder callbacks to use atomic_enable/atomic_disable(), so let's go and actually do that. [PATCH] Use nanosleep instead of usleep when waiting the hardware.
usleep() was being used without checking its return value. When the server receives SIGALRM or SIGIO the waits are shortened and random modesetting failures happen: Use nanosleep and loop around it until the requested time has elapsed. --- src/nouveau_hw.c | 2 +- src/nouveau_local.h | 6 ++++++ src/nv_bios.c | 2 +- src/nv_crtc.c | 2 +- src/nv_include.h | 1 +

[PATCH 1/6] drm/nouveau: convert to using is_hdmi and has_audio from display info
Prefer the parsed results for is_hdmi and has_audio in display info over calling drm_detect_hdmi_monitor() and drm_detect_monitor_audio(), respectively. Conveniently, this also removes the need to use edid_blob_ptr. [PATCH] drm/nouveau: Fix regression by audio component transition
Since the commit 742db30c4ee6 ("drm/nouveau: Add HD-audio component notifier support"), the nouveau driver notifies and pokes the HD-audio HPD and ELD via audio component, but this seems broken. The culprit is the naive assumption that crtc->index corresponds to the HDA pin. Actually this rather corresponds to the MST dev_id (alias "pipe" in the audio component framework)

[PATCH 0/6] improve feature detection
This is mainly for dropping interlaced modes on DP connectors if the GPU would otherwise display garbage or EVO timesout. It also adds experimental detection of the HDMI clock limit we currently hard limit depending on the GPU generation. Starting with GF110 GPUs, we can retrieve the limit directly from the GPU and may make the hdmimhz parameter obsolete. Testing this series with 2560x1440 or

[PATCH v3 0/6] improve feature detection
small update to my last version I sent out. Patches 3-6 are optional and should only improve detecting the max clocks for HDMI and DP, but they didn't underwent big testing and I am a bit concerned, that it might break detecting the DP limits on some boards. [PATCH 0/2] drm/nouveau: Fix connector memory corruption issues
This fixes some nasty issues I found in nouveau that were being caused looping through connectors using racy legacy methods, along with some caused by making incorrect assumptions about the drm_connector structs in nouveau's connector list. Most of these memory corruption issues could be reproduced by using an MST hub with nouveau. Cc: Karol Herbst <karolherbst at gmail.com> Cc: stable
