I'm working on some infrastructure which allows a remote password reset (with expiry) of a spice console running on a remote libvirtd/qemu-kvm. I currently have GSSAPI over tcp working and can set the password - but I can also do everything else - the default policy is still in place, and once authenticated, anything goes. I'm setting the password using a command like this: virsh

...just looking for some feedback on the direction I'm going. The code won't get all the way to the define stage since I'm in the middle of retrofitting it to use virtinst instead of a home spun node definition.

This version of the patch includes feedback from jboggs at redhat.com, including fixes to the BuildRequires and Requires in the spec file.

This patch obsoletes any previous ones. This is an upstream candidate, so I'm looking for feedback so we can push this and start using it.

This version fixes a few bugs found by jboggs. It also includes some logging facilities that need to be fleshed out more.

This patch is ready for pushing upstream.

systemd defined an /etc/machine-id file which is supposed to contain a unique, unchanging ID for the host. This file is initially zero-sized and is meant to be set by systemd on the first boot of the system. In virt-builder Fedora templates, the file is empty.
