OpenGL drivers haven't been installed correctly
The BOINC project has a screensaver that runs on Windows. I installed BOINC in a virtual machine running Windows XP (32 bit) and copied boinc.scr from the C:\Windows directory onto my 64 bit F13 system. When I run the screensaver I get an error. Any feedback is appreciated. I can run glxgears without any problem. $ wine boinc.scr Wine cannot find the ncurses library (libncurses.so.5).

Trying to use ActiveRecord STI but fails
Hi all, I''m wondering about my sanity here. There''s probably something simple I overlooked. First off, I have close to zero experience with Merb. 1. I configured use_orm :activerecord in config/dependencies.rb; 2. I have a file named app/models/measurement.rb which looks like this: class Measurement < Observation end 3. I have another file named

How I installed ovirt on fc 12
Hi, I installed ovirt on fedora 12 (64 bits) successfully but I had to make some changes to make it work. 1. Installation from rpms builded from the lastest git version 2. Patch ace : missing backslashes in sed commands vim /usr/share/ace/modules/ovirt/manifests/freeipa.pp line 33 : '/\\[kdcdefaults\\]/a \\ kdc_ports = 88' single_exec {"set_kdc_defaults":

R 2.11.1 in Fedora Updates Testing
R 2.11.1 is built now for Fedora and EPEL. It is in "updates-testing" (or it will be within the next 24 hours). It will likely be the last R update for Fedora 11. In accordance with the new policies on Fedora Updates, these new packages will not be pushed as official updates until they either receive positive testing from users, or sit in updates-testing for two weeks. Mongrel 1.0 RC1 Full Win32 Build
Hello Minions! It''s *finally* here. Mongrel 1.0 RC1 for everyone to test, even the win32 folks. I managed to get everything to build on windows, including fastthread, and even cleaned up the "releases source":http://mongrel.rubyforge.org/releases/ so that it should install cleaner. Win32 will have to try and report problems, as it seems rubygems is real finicky on win32.

Rubygems 0.9.0.8 and Fastthread problem
Heya Folks- This is mainly for Zed and Mentalguy. I have been playing with the new release of rubygems 0.9.0.8 and I have a major problem with the requirement that fastthread needs to be required before thread. Just requiring rubygems and then requiring fastthread right after that will throw the error: ez _blog $ ruby require ''rubygems'' require

acts_as_taggable_on environment issues
Like most people, I''ve got two machines: one for development and one for production. I''ve done everything I can to make sure the ruby/rails environments are the same, but of course they''re not identical (I''ll get into that in a moment). The error that I''m getting happens when I call a method in a background task controller on the production machine; I

Hot-add interface crashes libvirt
Hi Everyone, After upgrading FC12 and now FC13 whenever I try to attach a network device using attach-device it promptly crashes libvirtd. Is there an option that changed in the network interface xml spec I missed? I really need this feature or at least the ability to connect and disconnect interfaces if that's possible? I've tried defining my network card in several ways: First

method redefined errors from many core ruby libs
I have a Fedora Core 6 system on which I have built ruby 1.8.6 and rubygems 1.1.1 from source, and installed rails 2.0.2 using rubygems. When I create a new rails app, I get lots of errors that look like they''re coming from internal ruby libraries. Lots of methods redefined, as if I have some duplicate code somewhere. I also get errors when generating a simple model (see below.) I

deadlock issue: 1.8.6/fastthread/memcached-client/mongrel
Hi all, I''m getting a strange, intermittent Thread deadlock in production: deadlock 0x2a988d7008: sleep:F(3) - /opt/ruby/default/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/mongrel-1.0.1/lib/mongrel.rb:723 CPU usage spikes to a full core and Apache 502''s on requests that got handed to that particular listener each time. [PATCH] Fastthread 0.5.3.1 with merb edge (124)
I checked out the latest merb ''trunk'' and after installing it as a gem... (fresh install) I got the dreaded "fastthread not loaded: fastthread must be required before thread" error when starting up an instance of merb. Even without dRB. So I patched the merb.rb file to include fastthread before anything else if it''s installed. Check it. Merry Christmas!

I''m playing with the mongrel clustering, and am having a problem getting 2 mongrels to start up reliably. This should be a pretty simple cluster, with just 2 instances running.
