Hi, I notice that the CRAN binary for the macOS version of RProtoBuf is built against quite an old version of protocol buffers (from 2014, before v3 format support was added). the windows version is (blessedly) kept up-to-date, but I'd like to float the suggestion that the macOS version get an update too. with thanks jonathon

Hi all, We are using Samba 2.0.0beta5 on HP-UX 10.20 systems. We also use encryption and password checking on the NT 4 boxes. Everything works fine except for a few persons. When connecting to a samba share from an NT 4 client they get "unexpected network error". The contents of the last part of the samba log file are: [1999/06/01 16:04:45, 0] rpc_parse/parse_net.c:(1023) PANIC:

When I try to run the configure script I get the following error: ERROR: No locking available. Running Samba would be unsafe I searched the samba archives and found another instance of the same error, but I don't get the same errors in my config.log file, so I think it is a somewhat different problem.
