embed Sweave driver in .Rnw file
Hello, Sweave lets you use alternative drivers through the driver argument, and several packages take advantage of that and define custom Sweave driver for various purposes. Most of them are listed on the Reproducible Research CTV: (http://cran.r-project.org/web/views/ReproducibleResearch.html) The next natural step is for package developpers to take advantage of this in their vignettes. I want to get a reference to this time series object
I'm trying to get a reference to this object in C SWX.RET[1:6,c("SBI,"SPI","SII")] While i am able to access and use a plain SWX.RET object, I'm getting confused on how to create an object with the array subscripts like above. Here is what I tried to do. It doesn't work because "[" is obviously not an operation or function on SWX.RET. So how do I

How do I access class slots from C?
Hi I'm trying to implement something similar to the following R snippet using C. I seem to have hit the wall on accessing class slots using C. library(fPortfolio) lppData <- 100 * LPP2005.RET[, 1:6] ewSpec <- portfolioSpec() nAssets <- ncol(lppData) setWeights(ewSpec) <- rep(1/nAssets, times = nAssets) ewPortfolio <- feasiblePortfolio( data = lppData, spec = ewSpec,

R-1.4.0: how to use getSymbolInfo()?
I have a package that solves systems of ordinary differential equations coded as an R function (odesolve, on CRAN). The function is passed to R code, and c and Fortran code called by it uses lang4() and eval() to evaluate the R function inside a compiled c function to use in a compiled ODE solver. This works quite well, but can be slow. I'd like to be able to supply the name of a compiled

Error using Rcpp under windows xp
Hi, I am a newbie to Rcpp packages, and got problems in having basic set-ups for Rcpp under windows xp. Here is the list I have done. 1) installed Rtools and have no problem in compiling .c file. 2) installed Rcpp packages 3) set enviroment variables 'path' to make C:\Program Files\R\R-2.12.0\library\Rcpp\include\ searchable The sample C++ code I used is from the original website:

Strange problems with compiling dll
Dear sir\madam! I'm trying to speed up my R code by writing quite simple dll's in C. But I faced some problems, and I cannot determine their source. #include <Rinternals.h> SEXP mycombin(SEXP N, SEXP k){ int i, *j, *l, c; j = INTEGER(k);l = INTEGER(N); c = 1; if(j[0] > 0 && j[0] < l[0]){ if(j[0] <= l[0] - j[0]){ for(i =

lambda error update
Two more details: Someone else who works here, and hasn't used 0.65.0, thinks he's seen the error before. He restarted R, and it went away. Second, I think the relevant code is in SEXP do_function, in eval.c in the main directory. line 695: WrongArgCount("lambda") Beyond that I'm afraid I'm getting in over my head. Matt

question regarding lang2 command in C
Hi , I am asking too many questions , sorry for that . I am creating a data frame in C itself , reading a table . The data frame calling code looks like this ====================================== *PROTECT(dfm=lang2(install("data.frame"),df));* *SEXP res = PROTECT(eval(dfm,R_GlobalEnv));* UNPROTECT(2); return res; ================================== It works fine , now the problem

Telemarketer Torture.... (was: Re: asterisk-users Digest, Vol 44, Issue 49)
You could accept as the "passcode" the caller punching in their own phone#, then checking that against your whitelist. Lets associates get past the challenge when using someone else's phone, without their remembering some arbitrary passcode. And strangers or barred old associates who abuse it can get an earful about how you're suing them for wire fraud. Preferably after you

Torture tests
Hi, all. I've been so impressed with Dovecot, I'm in the process of moving my mail over to it. In fact, one of my mailboxes got SO huge, it'll likely literally take more than a day to move it all over (in excess of 19,000 mails, about 140 megabytes). So far, the IMAP server shows absolutely no sign of crapping out yet. It should also be noted that I'm moving all this mail

Telemarketer Torture
Hello-- I submitted of extensions.conf that contains my "telemarketer torture" menus, last week sometime to the mailing list. I got back a note from the mailing list machinery, stating that it was too big, and would be subject to approval. No such approval came, I guess. Either I missed it, or it didn't rate, or the moderator just plain hasn't gotten around to it yet. So, I

[LLVMdev] ARM backend failures from (gcc) c torture suite
I don't have a target in front of me to run these tests at the moment, but walking manually through va-arg-1.c, it's pretty clear that there's some disconnect between the register spilling that happens in LowerFORMAL_ARGUMENTS and what happens in LowerVASTART in ARMISelLowering.cpp. deep On Thu, Jun 11, 2009 at 8:45 AM, robert muth<robert at muth.org> wrote: > I wrote a few

[LLVMdev] ARM backend failures from (gcc) c torture suite
I wrote a few scripts to run llvm/arm against the gnu c torture test suite which consists of over 900 smallish tests. There were quite a few failures with llvm/arm which I hereby want to report (see attached tarball for the actual failing testsc). Most of the failures are related to vararg/stdarg. I think I saw a bug files for this but cannot find it anymore. Is somebody on this? Finally, I
