Paypal donation or Amazon wishlist for core team?
Is there any Paypal donation or Amazon wishlist for rails core team members? I know programming in Ruby & Rails should be reward enough, but its probably not a bad idea to let rails users express their appreciation in this way. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

centos friends?
Hello All, I want to ask about CentOS and money. Please do not start some kind of shitstorm over this, it isn't productive. I have just been looking at archive.org to see when the paypal option went missing from the donate menu at centos.org. I can't pin it down, but it was there on October 16, 2010 and isn't now, so that's the information I have on that point. There was a

Donations to Xiph
I have a few thoughs and questions about donating to Xiph that I hop you have a minute for. Here we go: == "Who donated what" list == As it seems we don't have a "Who donated what" list. I thought creating such a list could increase motivation to donate to some parties. What I currently have in mind would be to start listing donations from now on below the current content

Donation programme
Is there any decision about the donation programme? The Web page still says: "If you are looking to make a cash dontation to the CentOS Project, please check back here after August 15th, 2009." I assume that donations aren't refused, but is there a suggested amount, as there used to be? -- Yves Bellefeuille <yan at storm.ca> "Yves Bellefeuille: Eterna malvenkanto en

Donating
I've never really liked all these donation buttons in web pages, or receiving donations at all, but as some extra money could make my life easier in the next few months, I thought I'd give it a try. http://dovecot.org/donate.html (And if you're wondering how I could still promise those 1000 euros for a security hole, I've a credit card but I'd rather not use it :) Also

How to send in donations via check? and some other suggestions.
Greetings. I have just successfully updated a RH-9 file server to CentOS-3.1. I'm VERY impressed. I have a client who has 4 Redhat servers (1 x 7.3 and 3 x 9.0) that I would like to migrate to CentOS-3.1. Question: My client is willing to send a donation for these boxes but they just want to send you (caosity.org) a check that will cover the next couple of years. Who do we make the

Trouble Donating on centos.org
Hello, I tried making a donation via the centos.org website but was blocked by PayPal. I tried today and a few weeks ago. The error I got in both instances was: "The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit or debit card number." This strikes me as a strange response. It didn't say the card was declined; it said it "cannot be

Supporting R/Membership
Dear R Users, I know issues like this have come up in the past. I am wondering how many people would be interested in an online mechanism for donating to the R Foundation or for becoming supporting members. Right now, the link for it is somewhat buried on the R home page, and once you get there, the options are to mail or fax a form. IIRC, Paypal was not a good option due to some fees, but

R Founding
A few days ago Tal Galili posted a message about some controversies concerning the future of R. Having read the discussions, especially those following Ross Ihaka's post, I have come to the conclusion, that, as usual, the problem is money. I doubt there would be discussions about dropping R in its present form if the R-Foundation were properly funded and could hire computer scientists,

Dear OpenSSH friends : The Blastwave.org project is focused on providing quality open source software to Solaris and OpenSolaris users. Release of centos-3.3 ISP bill
It turns out that the release of Centos-3.3 was so popular, that it threw us way over the threshold of our ISP's, and now we are stuck with a _very_ large bill (as in an estimated 6TB of transfers). While in one hand I am ecstatic that we are so successful, but on the other hand, that is coming out of the developers pockets. The developers should be the last ones footing these bills (and this

Ferret is now accepting donations
Hey folks, Since this is the Ferret mailing list I should preface this by that the donation of time and help by people like Jens Kraemer, Jan Prill and all the other people who have contributed to Ferret is just as valuable to me as any financial assistance. Thanks. Ferret has been a labour of love but it has taken up a lot more of my life than I ever expected. At in excess of 50,000 lines of

Using CentOS on commercial product.
Hello, I've sent this mail when I didn't subscribe this mailing list. Now I subscribe and I sent again. I'm sorry to bother you. Our company make and sell some measurement system controlled by PC. We use Red Hat Enterprise Linux on the PC currently. We are thinking CentOS is another option for us. There is no technical issue but we don't have enough information about license.
