How to set R_CStackLimit
Hi, I have tried to disable stack checking by set R_CStackLimit to -1. However, it always crashes my win32 multiple threads program. I am using R-2.5.0. My code looks like: #include <Rversion.h> #if (R_VERSION >= R_Version(2,3,0)) #define R_INTERFACE_PTRS 1 #define CSTACK_DEFNS 1 #include <Rinterface.h> #endif and then, add below line to my main function: R_CStackLimit =

Callbacks seems to get GCed.
Dear list, I am trying to implement a publish-subscribe mechanism in for an embedded R interpreter. But somehow my registered closures seem to get collected by the GC, even though I have protected them. I have reducted my code to the following sample. Sorry if it is a little verbose. The first couple of call of calls still work, but at some point one of the callbacks (callback1 in my

Running an expression 1MN times using embedded R
Hello, I'm evaluating this expression expression({ for(x in 1:5){ .Call('rh_status','x') }}) a million times from a program with R embedded in it. I have attached reproducible code that crashes with Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x00002b499ca40a6e in R_gc_internal (size_needed=0) at memory.c:1309 1309 FORWARD_NODE(R_PPStack[i]); Current language:

R callbacks
Hi, I'm trying to understand (mostly from the R-exts manual) how to use the callbacks declared in Rinterface.h. As a first attempt, I'm trying to redefine ptr_R_WriteConsole in a very trivial manner. Here's my code: --------------- $ cat altr.c int Rf_initialize_R(int ac, char **av); #define R_INTERFACE_PTRS 1 #include <Rinterface.h> extern int R_running_as_main_program;

Definition of uintptr_t in Rinterface.h
Hi, I was recently pointed out that a definition in Rinterface.h can be conflicting with a definition in stdint.h: /usr/include/R/Rinterface.h has: typedef unsigned long uintptr_t; /usr/include/stdint.h has: typedef unsigned int uintptr_t; (when 32bit platform complete definition is: #if __WORDSIZE == 64 # ifndef __intptr_t_defined typedef long int intptr_t; # define

getConnection, R_outpstream_st
Hello, I'm trying to use the limited connections api defined in Rinternals.h. I have code that looks like this (inspired from do_serializeToConn) : SEXP serialize_to_connection( SEXP xp, SEXP connection ){ Rconnection con ; struct R_outpstream_st out; R_pstream_format_t type = R_pstream_binary_format ; SEXP (*hook)(SEXP, SEXP) = NULL ; con = getConnection(Rf_asInteger(connection));

[LLVMdev] Makefile Question
Hello, I have a question about how to set up a Makefile that generate a .so that I can load into opt without getting duplicate symbols. Here's what I have right now: LIBRARYNAME=previrt SHARED_LIBRARY=previrt LINK_COMPONENTS := transformUtils LINK_LIBS_IN_SHARED=1 include $(LEVEL)/Makefile.common LIBS += -lprotobuf CPPFLAGS += -I${HOME}/.root/usr/include -DGOOGLE_PROTOBUF_NO_RTTI LDFLAGS

R CMD build error (RProtoBuf on windows)
Hello all, I am trying to port the package RProtoBuf to windows. The developers of RProtoBuf have given me some helpful pointers so far, but now I am stuck. After having made what I think are the necessary changes to the package to compile on windows, "R CMD build RProtoBuf" outputs a somewhat cryptic error ("This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual

[LLVMdev] Makefile Question
I thought it would, but it seems to be missing the CloneModule symbol (which isn't called from anywhere in the LLVM codebase). [LLVMdev] clang static analyzer annotations
Not sure if this is the right place to ask. Please let me know if there's a better place. I ran the clang static analyzer via Xcode 4.6.3 on our project that uses a lot of third-party libraries. One of them is Google protobufs, and it has a set of non-exiting assertion macros that the analyzer (rightly) ignores when flagging some NULL dereferences. The macros look like this: #define

Removed 'extern' on R_running_as_main_program in Rinterface.h -- intentional?
Hi R-devel, In this commit: https://github.com/wch/r-source/commit/c67a107dd7b0f074cec9359b8e2ca07c6243283c R_running_as_main_program was moved from Rmain.c to Rinterface.h, and lost its 'extern' declaration. This change is causing us linker problems (since we now have duplicate symbols for R_running_as_main_program). Was this intentional? If so, what else should applications embedding R

Statconnector and Excel
Hi, I'm trying to combine a VBA macro and a R package. I've installed the R-(D)COM and the R-excel interface by Neuwirth. They seem to work both. However I would like to display the r-generated data in an Excel sheet as an array but I don't manage. Here is an example of my source: Sub doR() Call RInterface.StartRServer Call RInterface.RRun("library(mdnn)") Call

Rexcel path problem
Hi, I am running a test to call an R script with in excel using VBA. My VBA code is shown bellow. The middle section of this mail also includes the content of my Rscript. The bottom part shows the error message form the R console. It seems that Excel is opening the R console without any problems. The problem I am seeing is that Rinterface.RRun instruction is interpreting the "\T"

[LLVMdev] Makefile Question
Hi Gregory, I had a similar problem a while back, see: http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvmdev/2010-June/032508.html for my solution to this problem. Basically I ended up linking in the *.o files needed to get exactly what I needed (in your case, the file defining CloneModule and whatever else you need), without pulling in too much (causing duplicate symbol issues with opt). Hopefully this
