Lockup with (none) login
I had a CentOS 5.5 Xen "standard virtualization" install lockup on reboot after an battery backup (apcusbd) orderly shutdown induced by a power outage. It may have been sitting with two kernel updates without a reboot. I have to head to the site (with a fractured ankle), but reports indicate that it is at - (none) login: which only returns back to itself after a user login at

[LLVMdev] andersaa pass
Does anyone object to me removing the andersaa pass from mainline for 2.7? It is buggy and unmaintained, and people keep filing bugs about it because it is tantalizing. If someone wants to complete the work in the future, they can always resurrect the code from SVN. -Chris

Rhythmbox Replacement
Hey Y'all, I though I would resurrect a long dead mail chain. I'm looking for a good replacement for Rhythmbox. I need a pod catcher to catch podcasts and download them to my HD where I can then move them onto my mp3 player that I take to work every day. I don't need a new mp3 player so don't suggest VLC. It is not able to download podcasts. I'm in the process of

Propping up liveice
I'm a volunteer who runs the mp3 streaming for KGNU-FM in Boulder, Colorado. We stream live at 64K with Linux, icecast 1.3.12+ minor patches, liveice, and lame 3.92. It easily supports 32 internet listeners 24x7 from a donated 400MHz Pentium II. Liveice is the only problem--it does its job of connecting the soundcard rec in to the lame encoder and to icecast, but dies without

[LLVMdev] C Backend Ressurected
Hi All, 2 of my summer interns (Aimee Dipietro and Greg Simpson) used their time over the summer to resurrect the LLVM C Backend: https://github.com/draperlaboratory/llvm-cbe Improvements include recovery of simple for/while loops (instead of goto), better variable naming, inline asm support, and making it work on a more recent version of llvm. I believe they used the repository here as a

[LLVMdev] Questions bout the Steensguard AA Pass in rDSA
Hi Criswell, Thanks for the reply. I am looking for a pass for the intra-procedural alias analyzing, as i am working on multithreaded debugging and looking for a way to pick up instructions from different threads accessing the same global variable, and is Steensguard workable for this scenario? or any other suggestions? I also find that the "rDSA" folder is not included in the Makefile,

comment on another command line option
I would like ssh to have the command line option of supplying the passphrase. This would make it possible to do attendant free scp transfers from PHP, for example. As it is, it is impossible to use a web script to initiate an scp xfer if an encrypted private key is used. I realize that stupid people could make shell scripts or web scripts then with the pass phrase in them, but those same stupid

ICECast in Flash / IEWin
I'd like to resurrect this orphaned thread: http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/icecast/2003-December/006139.html We're using the embedded flash player for listeners of pulverradio.com and can't use 2.2 for relaying from our encoders. Apparently we can use Icecast v1.3 Although this is clearly a problem caused by ActiveX and Microsoft boneheads that is a mountain that may prove

John, The post you're responding to has already been deleted as spam; the link was to a content farm. Posts that resurrect old threads with vaguely-related but not-quite-right responses are almost always from spammers. Closing topic.

Fatal error: invalid home drive
Dear R-helpers, I have just installed R2.0.0 onto my machine which already had R1.9.1 present. I then tried to add to R2.0.0 a library called GLMM written by James McBroom for R1.6.0. Unfortunately, R2.0.0 does not recognise the library, even though R1.9.1 does. This is not because I have used the wrong case in the call to the library: > library('GLMM') > "Error in
