Makevars PKG_LIBS ignored by SHLIB (PR#9473)
Full_Name: Rick Sayre Version: 2.4.0 OS: Windows Submission from: (NULL) (138.72.27.164) PKG_LIBS works fine on *nix on windows, it seems to be ignored by the "SHLIB" script so, R CMD SHLIB blah properly uses PKG_CPPFLAGS and PKG_CFLAGS from Makevars, but PKG_LIBS is ignored

.C() and C++ name mangling
Howdy, I'm working with some external code written in C++, which I would like to call via dyn.load() and .C() from R. The function prototype looks like: gaRemin(int *, float *, float *, int *, float *, float *, float *, float *, float *) but to call this function from R using .C() I have had to use the mangled version of this

Equivalents of Matlab's 'find' and 'end'
Sorry if these questions have been asked recently--I'm new to this list. I'm primarily a Matlab user who is attempting to learn R and I'm searching for possible equivalents of commands that I found very handy in Matlab. So that I don't seem ungrateful to those who may answer, I HAVE determined ways to carry out these processes in 'brute force' sorts of ways in R code,

Looking for an unequal variances equivalent of the Kruskal Wallis nonparametric one way ANOVA
Well fellow R users, I throw myself on your mercy. Help me, the unworthy, satisfy my employer, the ungrateful. My feeble ramblings follow... I've searched R-Help, the R Website and done a GOOGLE without success for a one way ANOVA procedure to analyse data that are both non-normal in nature and which exhibit unequal variances and unequal sample sizes across the 4 treatment levels. problem quitting
Many thanks to Peter and Brian for their help; it was indeed a permissions problem; thanks also to Josh Paulson of the RStudio team for pointing me to instructions for making the necessary changes. But at the risk of seeming not only ungrateful and pedantic, but also off-topic, can I point out that all this strictly only answers part of my question, which was "why **all of a sudden** I

Wishlist: as.raw [or similar] support for tcl strings (PR#13758)
Full_Name: Rick Sayre Version: 2.9.0 OS: windows, os x, linux Submission from: (NULL) (138.72.153.236) if a tcl "string" contains binary data, there is a problem getting this data to R, since there appears to be no way to get "raw" data without NULL interpretation. Here is a simple example. The data should be Here are 1<one NULL>Here is 2<two NULLs>And finally

Any api (agi/ari/ami) equivalent of "core show calls"?
Wow! I've been *-ing for about 6 years and had literally no idea about that! I can see a way I could put it to a different use, but it seems to be a bit of a sledgehammer to crack the walnut of "how many current callers" compared to one line of (albeit hacky) dialplan. That's making me sound ungrateful. I don't mean to be! On Sun, 14 Jun 2020, 22:39 Steve Edwards,

How do I connect dots in the RGL package?
Hi all, I just started using the rgl package in R, and I need to know how I connect the dots I created. A simple line from one co?rdinate (x0,y0,z0) to another (x1,y1,z1) will do. I tried using the code rgl.lines, but it doesn't accept lines that don't stem from O (0,0,0). Please help! Thanks! -- View this message in context:

ices
it's funny. I only started this so my ex-girlfriend on the other side of the world could hear a song (downloading mp3's was not possible for complex reasons but streaming audio was) but goddammit i'm going to make this thing work if it kills me. liblame vs libmp3lame.... anyways, it don't work.
I took the latest installation of lame (both stable and beta) and installed those with the default install variables. The last one I compiled was lame3.87. I then have the ices-0.0.1.beta5 and config'd the sources with ./configure --with-perl --with-lame and installed. Yet, when I run ices -R, it complains with the following line when I run the -R option: Support for reencoding with

How is it best to initialize specific SIP peer settings
Hello, Let's say you would like to define, for every SIP peer, a value which would set, for instance, the maximum daytime calls number. Extension 101 would get a 2 value, extension 102 would also get 2, extension 103 would get 1, and so ... How is it best to proceed as those values : - shall be usable from dial plan, - shall be set when system starts up. Now I would simply use database set

Passing externalptr to .C()
Greetings. 2.15.0 added this behavior http://developer.r-project.org/blosxom.cgi/R-devel/NEWS/2012/03/29#n2012-03-29 o Passing R objects other than atomic vectors, functions, lists and environments to .C() is now deprecated and will give a warning. Most cases (especially NULL) are actually coding errors. NULL will be disallowed in future. This seems to make sense,

homepage should not use frames (PR#4316)
Howdy, I really, really don't want to spark a flame war or anything, and please let me stress beforehand that I appreciate all the volunteer (!) work that goes into R and into www.r-project.org, but...I personally find that the framed access to web resources is annoyingly difficult to use. Chief among my several complaints is that I can't
