Error in FrF2 example on Mac OS
Dear all, I just noticed that the 0.9 update for FrF2 did not work out for Mac OS due to an error in an example that ran without error on all other platforms. I do not find any reason for this. In the past, umlauts or tab characters have sometimes been an issue, but I didn't find any of these. The function definition is FrF2(nruns = NULL, nfactors = NULL, factor.names = if

Importing function that is previously imported by other package
Dear developeRs, I encounter the following problem: in the current version of my package FrF2, certain calls to a functioni do not work when package combinat is loaded, because function combn from combinat masks the function from utils that my package uses. I tried to solve this issue by importing function combn into the namespace of FrF2; I don't need to export it, I just want to use it

Help on Full Factorial Design
Hi Everyone, I found the doe.base package and the FrF2 package to do nice experimental planning and I'm very happy about this tool I was looking for such a long time. But I still try to find out how to add center points to a full factorial design. The FrF2-package has a center point option but is just supporting fractional designs? Is there a possibility to have center points within the

BBH2 and FrF2 packages
Hi R HELP, I consider the 2^3 factorial experiment described at page 177 of the book Statistics for Experimenters: Design, Innovation, and Discovery by George E. P. Box, J. Stuart Hunter, William G. Hunter (BHH2). This example use the following data in file BHH2-Data/tab0502.dat at ftp://ftp.wiley.com/ in /sci_tech_med/statistics_experimenters/BHH2-Data.zip run T C K y 1 1 -1 -1 -1 60 2

sysdata.rda vs. rda files in data directory
Dear developeRs, my package FrF2.catlg128 holds large catalogues and is supposed to gain additional ones. All the catalogues are intended for the user. So far, the catalogues were stored in the data directory, and LazyData was "no". I understand that this is not considered wise any more (if it ever was), so that I want to change to LazyData "yes" with the next release

[PATCH 1/2] nvc0/ir: use manual TXD when offsets are involved
Something about how we're implementing offsets for TXD is wrong, just flip to the generic quadop-based implementation in that case. This is the minimal fix appropriate for backporting. trouble with library(FrF2)
Hi, I'm trying to use commands in FrF2 and once I install FrF2 and use the console command of library(FrF2) it loads required packages and ends with: Loading Tcl/Tk interface ... > then when I enter another command (only got to DATA<-read.table without an enter or more text) I get a non-responsive R console window with this along the bottom of the console window executing:

[PATCH] gm107/ir: use lane 0 for manual textureGrad handling
This is parallel to the pre-SM50 change which does this. Adjusts the shuffles / quadops to make the values correct relative to lane 0, and then splat the results to all lanes for the final move into the target register. Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> --- Entirely untested beyond compilation. Should check bin/tex-miplevel-selection textureGrad Cube

Method for $
Dear R experts, I have defined a class "myclass" and would like the slots to be extractable not only by "@" but also by "$". I now try to write a method for "$" that simply executes the request object at slotname, whenever someone calls object$slotname for any object of class "myclass". I don't manage to find out how I can provide this

model.matrix troubles with AlgDesign
Dear DevelopeRs, in continuing with my suite of packages on experimental design, I am stuck with an issue that appears to be related to package AlgDesign - I have tried to get it solved by Bob Wheeler, but he seems to be stuck as well. Whenever AlgDesign is loaded, some of my code does not work any more. For example, in a fresh R session: require(DoE.base) fac.design(nlevels=c(2,6,2))

[PATCH] nv50: enable cube map array texture support
Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> --- All the arb_texture_cube_map_array piglits pass except the sampler-cube-shadow one. However, nva0+ appear to all fail at the non-array version of that test, sampler-cube-shadow, so I think it's very likely to be related. Probably some sampler setup bits changed. src/gallium/drivers/nouveau/codegen/nv50_ir_lowering_nv50.cpp | 5

[PATCH] gm107/ir: fix loading z offset for layered 3d image bindings
Unfortuantely we don't know if a particular load is a real 2d image (as would be a cube face or 2d array element), or a layer of a 3d image. Since we pass in the TIC reference, the instruction's type has to match what's in the TIC (experimentally). In order to properly support bindless images, this also can't be done by looking at the current bindings and generating appropriate

Whine in dual core Windows PC if R uses full CPU capacity
Dear R-developers, the following may seem a weird question for R-devel – I try anyway, because it does seem to be related to usage of R and R's way of interacting with the hardware. When running R (2.4.0) on my new dual core Windows XP system (Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, Mainboard ASUS P5B, BeQuiet Power Unit), I observe various types of sounds (not related to fans) when running at full

Wishlist: merge and subset to keep attributes (PR#8658)
Full_Name: Ulrike Gr?mping Version: 2.2.1 OS: Windows Submission from: (NULL) (84.190.139.94) When importing data from SPSS, it is a nice feature of the package foreign that it allows (option use.value.labels=F) to work with the original SPSS codes while keeping the value labels as information in an attribute. Unfortunately, after merging or subsetting, these attributes disappear. The code

Wishlist: install.packages to look for the newest version of a package (PR#13851)
Full_Name: Ulrike Groemping Version: 2.9.0 (and older) OS: Windows Submission from: (NULL) (84.190.173.190) When using an older version of R, packages are not found although they are available for newer versions of R and do work when installed with the old version. For example, installing DoE.base on R 2.8.1 installs version 0.2, while CRAN is at version 0.4-1 currently. It would be nice if the

Cannot activate chm help in R 2.10
Dear all, I just tried to be fast for once, installed R 2.10 and also newly installed all previously-installed packages. However, now all my help files are text only, which is of course a pity with the new possibilities of links between help pages. What can I do to re-activate chm-help? chm-help does not work for anything, not even base functionality. My system is Windows XP, German locale

Time delay function or plot animation
Dear R-help crowd, is it possible to specify a time delay for plotting the points in a curve? I would like to make the plotting process slow enough to show the development of the graph, and therefore I am looking either for the possibility within the plot function to specify a plotting speed or (if that doesn't exist) for a function like "pause" or "wait" that allows

Wishlist: install.packages to look for the newest version (PR#13852)
Ulrike, if you install from source, you always get the most recent version of the package given it does not depend on a newer version of R. If you want a binary package, you also get the newest version - that was newest at the time we stopped building binaries for that version of R. We (or better I if we only talk about Windows, but similar for all other platforms) cannot build for each R

R CMD check: problems possibly from mapply?
Dear expeRts, I am trying to wrap up a package "utilities" (for my internal use). After adding a function datNAtreat that uses mapply, R CMD check gives WARNINGs for "S3 generic/method consistency", "checking replacement functions" and?"checking foreign function calls", all of which are accompanied by the following error message: Error in .try_quietly
