[wishlist, patch] Removing .bzr/ directory when calling R CMD build (PR#10625)
Full_Name: Ben Goodrich Version: 2.6.1 OS: Debian Submission from: (NULL) (128.103.222.166) bzr is another version control system and adds a .bzr folder to the top-level directory of a package, similar to .svn and .git for subversion and git respectively. However, while R CMD build removes directories called .svn, .git, and some others, it does not remove .bzr . As a result, the .bzr folder is

Dealing with .git folder when using R CMD INSTALL
Dear all, quite a few package tools depend on R CMD INSTALL today for rapid testing of a package, eg: - devtools::install() - BiocCheck::BiocCheck() I've noticed that at least BiocCheck() doesn't ignore version control folders like .git. Trying to find out why this was, lead me to R CMD INSTALL. I know this R CMD build ignores these files and folders by default, but R CMD INSTALL

R CMD build not excluding .svn
Hi, In my package RGtk2, there's a directory called 'src/RGtk2' that contains, like all the other directories in the package, a '.svn' directory. It seems that R CMD build is somehow missing that one '.svn' in 'src/RGtk2', even though it excludes all the other instances of '.svn'. I've tried putting 'src/RGtk2/.svn' into the .Rbuildignore,

R CMD check ignores .Rbuildignore?
The contents of .Rbuildignore seems to affect R CMD build but not R CMD check. I'm using R 2.4.0 on Debian. Is my understanding correct? And is there anything I can do about it? In my case, some of the excluded files contain references to other libraries, so linking fails under R CMD check. I realize I could add the library to the build (with Makevars, I guess), but I do not want to

[LLVMdev] About setting up official git & bzr mirrors.
Time ago when the svn server was crawling due to massive hammering from people mirroring the repo, someone said that after the 2.6 release we could discuss creating official mirrors for those who work with svn clients based on distributed VCSs such as git and bazaar. Such mirrors increase productivity (facilitating experimentation and parallel tasks, allowing off-line work) and even lessens the

Issue with non-standard file 'vert.txt' in R CMD check
Dear R Support Team, I am experiencing an issue with my R package during the `R CMD check` process. A non-standard file named `vert.txt` is being generated in the check directory, causing a NOTE in the check results. Despite adding `vert.txt` to `.Rbuildignore`, the file is still appearing. And, there are no commands in any part of my package's code that would generate this file. Here

add .emacs.desktop and .emacs.desktop.lock to files ignored by R CMD build?

R CMD check in R-3.0.0 gives warnings
I am running R CMD check on my package nleqslv with R-3.0.0 beta (2013-03-33 r62364) on Mac OS X 10.6.8 In contrast with R-2.15.3 R CMD check now issues a note for - Mercurial version control files .hgignore, .hgtags and directory .hg. These are however included in .hidden_file_exclusions. - typical Mac Finder files .DS_Store All of these are ignored when executing R CMD check --as-cran. I

[LLVMdev] About setting up official git & bzr mirrors.
Launchpad already maintains bzr mirrors: http://code.launchpad.net/llvm The mirrors are the lp:~vcs-import branches (a specific launchpad user used for automatically mirroring branches). Some patches.
Hi, in my path of getting the controls sample to work nicely, I fixed some classes on the way, see the attached diffs. I had some difficulties, but could track down all stupid bugs and am now almost happy with the code :) (I had the complete ImageHandler hieracy implemented at some time, but than I discovered the error was not in unloaded ImageHandlers but in the controls-program which does not

SunFire X2100 bios dislikes ZFS''s EFI labels, too
Back in December, there was some discussion here about the Ultra 20''s bios being confused by the EFI labels ZFS uses. After seeing a report about the X2100 exhibiting the same behavior as the Ultra 20, I reproduced the problem and filed: 6407133 X2100 bios intimidated by ZFS-created EFI labels hopefully that bios will get fixed, too. - Bill

GenericDirCtrl
A little patch to add Wx::GenericDirCtrl. A non-native control (on OS X at least) but maybe useful to someone. I have tested it but think it should just be added to controls.rb sample - will do later when i have fixed some other probs with that. Also, I''ve started putting class-specifc style constants in the relevant .i file, as discussed previosuly - will submit a patch doing this

dos-style line endings in .Rbuildignore result in files not being excluded
I was trying, on a Linux system, to get a .Rbuildignore file to work. After far too long, I found the problem was the <CR><NL> line endings in the .Rbuildignore file -- I had originally created it on a Windows system, and emacs in Ubuntu was politely hiding that fact from me. The patterns didn't work to exclude files because it was trying to match filenames to patterns like

Questions on package creation
I have some questions about 1. nomenclature, 2. recommended file locations and 3. overall procedure related to creating packages. To the extent that it matters, examples here relate to Windows XP R 2.0.1 beta. The questions are interspersed and prefaced with ***. My understanding is that there are actually 6 forms of a package that one should use in package development: 1.
