Calling FORTRAN function from R issue?
Hello, I am trying to call the BLAS Level1 function zdotc from R via a .C call like this: #include "R.h" #include "R_ext/BLAS.h" void testzdotc() { Rcomplex zx[3], zy[3], ret_val; zx[0].r = 1.0; zx[0].i = 0.0; zx[1].r = 2.0; zx[0].i = 0.0; zx[2].r = 3.0; zx[0].i = 0.0; zy[0].r = 1.0; zy[0].i = 0.0; zy[1].r = 2.0; zy[0].i = 0.0; zy[2].r = 3.0;

Indexing Permutation Values
R-help - This code iterates over a function with 2 free parameters to find a list of values (which are the number of incorrect predictions for a computational model). I want to find the values of i,e when there is the minimum number of incorrect predictions. In other words, the value of "i" and "e" when variable "thesum" is at the lowest possible number. The

xerbla called from BLAS routine (PR#8100)
Full_Name: G?ran Brostr?m Version: R-2.1.1, 2.2.0 OS: Debian unstable Submission from: (NULL) (213.65.9.59) Some BLAS routines call xerbla for error messages, which results in a message like "LAPACK routine DGER gave error code -9". Suggested solution: In void F77_NAME(xerbla)(char *srname, int *info) { /* srname is not null-terminated. It should be 6 characters. */ char

gfortran and BLAS on AMD64 Linux
Linux users are used to all compilers using the same linkage conventions (those of pcc) whereas users of other platforms are used to the idea that code from different compilers cannot in general be mixed. This is no longer true for gfortran on AMD64. Given a double complex function like double complex function zdotc(n,zx,incx,zy,incy) gfortran returns the result in a 128-bit XMM SSE

constness in BLAS.h/dger arguments
Hi, I am writing code interfacing R's BLAS functions, and have a problem with two missing const's in the header of F77_NAME(dger) in src/include/R_ext/BLAS.h. The current definition is missing the appropriate consts for the arrays x and y, which are stated in the BLAS documentation [2] to be "unchanged on exit". This issue was already mentioned on the list in March 2009 [1],

Calling a LAPACK subroutine from R
Followup: I have checked my package nleqslv which uses dgemv only from Fortran, on Kubuntu 18.04 with the development version of R. No errors or problems. lapack
Has anyone gotten lapack to work on centos 7? If so, how? Most recently, I installed lapace-devel and let yum bring in what it wanted. Whenever I try to link, I get a long list of undefined references ending with /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/4.8.5/../../../../lib64/liblapacke.so: undefined reference to `dgeevx_' [hennebry at localhost test]$ nm -D /usr/lib64/libblas.so | grep dge

When after_save isn't after the save....
I have a Production model, which represents a farmer''s crop. After create (via after_save) I call a method that creates one or more Supply models, which represent a week of anticipated product harvest. After each of those are created, a class method gets called that tries to match each new Supply with outstanding orders for the same time period. If a match is made, a transaction (an

Test oddities
Can someone explain why a instance variable cannot be changed through an association under rspec/factory_girl? An example is in this gist<https://gist.github.com/2484336> . All tests pass except the last. All the steps pass in the console. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. alas, no vecnorm
I wanted a function that would give the euclidean distance of a vector. Then I was happy, because I found vecnorm listed on pg 55 of V&R (3rd edn) which I had just bought today. Then I was sad, because R did not have vecnorm. Then I was happy again, because I bethought myself that I could copy the function vecnorm from splus to my code. Then I was sad again because R complained >

Compiling R, cannot open vars.mk
Hi! I am trying to compile R-1.8.1 on an alphaserver running Tru64 Unix. I use the compilers cc,cxx and f77. After the compilation I try: make check and get the following message: Make: Cannot open /share/make/vars.mk. Stop. Does anyone have any suggestions on why? Regards Arne Gjuvsland

R problems with lapack with gfortran
Hi, gfortran trunk and 9-branch now have an option to automatically generate C prototypes for old-style F77 procedures. I just did for a in *.f; do gfortran -fsyntax-only -fc-prototypes-external $a > ${a%.f}.h; done in the src/modules/lapack directory. This generates header files which contain prototypes like int ilaenv_ (int *ispec, char *name, char *opts, int *n1, int *n2, int *n3,

Hi, I tried to install R-2.4.1 on cygwin system. "./configure" succeeded, but make failed. Below, I provide the output from the process: error message, and info from configure output, in that order. I appreciate that someone can guide me (technically in-sophisticated) through this process. Again, thanks for your help. Michael Niu (1). Output from make make[3]:

Help with functions
Dear R-users I intend to create a function which calls some smaller other functions in return. Some of these smaller functions all call some functions. I do not know a good way to do this. I tried using the source() function to include the smaller functions within the main functions before they are called. This does not work, or maybe i am not doing the right thing. For example: the

Error in simulation. NAN
Hi all, im triyng to implement a bayesian model with R and c++. I have a strange problem. I can't reproduce the error with a small script and then i post the original one. The problem is after the line for(MCMC_iter2=0;MCMC_iter2<thin;MCMC_iter2++) For the first 34 iterations all work fine, after, all the simulations of mu_acc_P return an "nan". If i delete the line
