Literature analysis
Dear all, i am new in R. I am writing a review paper about batteries. However, i am interested in analyzing all the papers by keywords, author, references and year. This could be done by "refviz" a software, which is only running on windows machines and which is not free. So my question to you is, is it somehow possible to write a script that can do all of this work? And if yes, with

Printing via Samba
I'm trying to print to a shared printer on my Windows 98 SE box from my linux box. I've configured it via Webmin and I can mount my home directory on linux from Windows (using samba) and vice versa... But I can't seem to configure printing properly... I've got a Canon BJC-1000 on my Windows box and Webmin seems to think it SHOULD be printable.... *sigh* I've tried all three

[LLVMdev] Bug in MachineInstr::isIdenticalTo
I have ran across a case where the function isIdenticalTo is return true for instructions that are not equivalent. The instructions in question are load/store instructions, and is causing a problem with MachineBranchFolding. The problem is this, I have two branches of a switch statement that are identical, except for the size of the store. Here is some cut-down LLVM-IR to showcase the issue:

Filelist caching
Hi, I've noticed every time someone does an rsync-request on my ftp-site (which also provides rsync as mirror method), rsyncd creates a filelist. This is a quite IO and CPU intensive procedure, especially for things mirrors like FreeBSD with lots of little files. I was wondering... is there a way to cache that filelist? Our mirrors are updated once, or twice a day, it could speed up

AW: AW: Reading OGG embedded in a pack file
yes, you are right. i always search for quick and easy solution and forget in the meantime that vorbis is a low level codec library. so probably a wrapper lib is the right way. but as far as i understand vorbisfile is already a bunch of convenience functions? so to speak a wrapper lib ? so why not enhance a little bit vorbisfile ? and - i did not felt personally attacked. i just wanted to note

I've performed a route choice experiment, in which participants had to make a choice at each junction for the next road. During the experiment they received traffic information, but also encountered two different accidents. They also made trips without accidents. What I'm interested in is to

No automatic refresh?
Hi! I've been struggling with this install of Samba 2.0.4b on Linux/x86 2.0.36. All of the client machines run Windows NT 4, SP 3. I'm exporting /tmp as pub, and if I right click in the folder and create a new folder, it doesn't show up until I go to 'view' and 'refresh'. If I delete something, it doesn't go away until I refresh. Why? Output of testparm:

INSTALL.in: Install R to local path?
Dear all, I am trying to install R on a (Linux Debian) machine where I do not have root access. So far I succeeded in compiling from source and running R. But I would really like to be able to use "make install" and to be able to install certain packages such as foreign. Now these actions require permissions for directories that I do not have. In particular I would like R home to be
