Infinite loop running Mod_R/Rapache
I installed mod_r according to the specifications, and have been trying to get the demo script to work correctly. I am running debian, the latest build of R, apache 2 with prefork mpm, and the latest mod_r. Is anyone else using this module successfully? I added: LoadModule R_module mod_R.so <Location /test/hello> SetHandler r-handler Rsource /var/www/html/test.R RreqHandler

Embedding R and registering routines
Hello, The use of .Call and the like all depend on loading shared libraries and registering routines from it. Also, .Primitive and .Internal depend on routines being registered in the R binary. And applications that embed R can override routines declared in Rinterfac.h, but is there a way for an application embedding R to register other routines defined in the application without loading a

R as shared library
Hello folks, I'm embarking on a project to embed R into the Apache web server, and I'd like your help. Currently, I'm looking for a way for R code to call back into a shared library from which the R shared library was loaded. Essentially, apache starts and loads mod_R.so which runs an initialization routine which calls Rf_initEmbeddedR() and the following code: /* override to

mean reverting model
dear useRs, i'm working with a mean reverting model of the following specification: y = mu + beta(x - mu) + errorterm, where mu is a constant currently I estimate just y = x (with lm()) to get beta and then calculate mu = estimated intercept / (1-beta). but I'd like to estimate mu and beta together in one regression-step and also get the test-statistics (including parameter

error: C stack usage is too close to the limit.
I am trying to set up a RApache server on my Ubuntu 8.04. I have installed apache2, R-2.7.0, and the RApache plugin. Both Apache and R seem to work fine, but whenever i try to use the plugin i get this error: C stack usage is too close to the limit. I have tried to recompile apache2, R, and RApache, but i keep getting the error. The weird thing is, i had exactly the same problem when i installed

R as a web service
Dear R-helpers, I have been inquired about the possibility of developing a web distributed scoring system: a model is created in a central location, users fill a form in their browsers, and the central server calls this model and returns a YES/NO answer to them. I am tempted into using R for this assignment. I have used Rapache for similar tasks, but I am afraid that it is too of a novelty for

problem loading rgdal with Rapache, problem solved due to libexpat with apache.
Has anyone had problems with Rapache that don't show up on command line execution of R? I just ran into this loading rgdal in Rapache page and having a problem with loading shared object. The final complaint was that Stop_XMLParser was undefined- this was surprising since grep -l showed it in expat lib and it worked fine from command line. Finally, I noted the search path had apache/lib ahead

When collected warnings exceeds 50
Hi, I've been tracking down a memory leak in an rApache application, http://data.vanderbilt.edu/rapache/bbplot. The code was deployed in 2007 and has survived numerous upgrades of both R and rApache (including upgrades and bugs in RMySQL). It's written in such a way so that web crawlers will download every possible URL the app will create. It's not a high-traffic app, but just about

R server
Hi, I just installed R in Windows, it seems to me that R is a standalone desktop application. Do you know if R has its server version which could handle multi-users, have several distinct R sessions and their own variables in Unix or Windows? I saw OpenStatServer, RStatServer available, can those handle multi-sessions? Thanks Mike [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

CentOS 5 install won't make with shared libs enabled
Hi, I've been trying to get a shared library version of the R package(version 2.12.1) installed on a CentOS 5 system. (It installs fine without but other packages demand shared libs - namely Rapache). I've tried this with yum but don't know of any flags to set to tell it to installl with shared libs enabled. I then tried a local R install as non-root with source packages: after

Nested brew call yields Error in .brew.cat(26, 28) : unused argument(s) (26, 28)
I am writing several webpages using the brew package and R2HTML. I would like to work off one script so I am using nested brew calls. The documentation for brew states that: "NOTE: brew calls can be nested and rely on placing a function named ?.brew.cat? in the environment in which it is passed. Each time brew is called, a check for the existence of this function is made. If it exists,
