image() or plotting functions or something else broken in 2.0.1 on OS X?
Hello. I just upgraded to 2.01 on Mac OS 10.3.6. I used to use the image() function in 1.9.x. Now, running the example code from the image() help page gives me the following error: > x <- y <- seq(-4*pi, 4*pi, len=27) > r <- sqrt(outer(x^2, y^2, "+")) > image(z = z <- cos(r^2)*exp(-r/6), col=gray((0:32)/32)) 2004-12-02 10:35:27.815 R[2649] *** Assertion

I'm new to the MacOS X platform and I'am experiencing some strange behaviour on the Mac OS X platform, with R 2.0.1 Here is the error message I get when doing such a basic thing as ls() or summary(an_object): 2005-04-15 14:59:48.177 R[1147] *** Assertion failure in -[NSMutableRLEArray objectAtIndex:effectiveRange:],

[LLVMdev] new website prototype
Hi Everyone, A website refresh is long overdue, for a couple reasons: 1. The webpage hasn't changed substantially for years, but the project obviously has :) 2. The current web site is very cluttered. 3. The current site does not convey what LLVM is to new people very well. 4. The current site does not support "subprojects" at all. As such, I put together a prototype for a new

I think it's illegal to delete such infinite loop, perhapes you should file a bug report to open64. That's my 2 cents.

[LLVMdev] Is infinite empty loop dead code?
Following loop (in asm) is often seen in embedded programs. It is used to delay for certain amount of time. If it were not written in asm, compiler would blindly delete the entire loop. How can compiler know such DCE betray program intention? for (i = 0; i < N; i++) { nop; nop; nop } I guess in the gray area, if programmer do not want compiler do something he doesn't expect, he/she

CVE-2019-11500: Critical vulnerability in Dovecot and Pigeonhole
Daniel, thanks so much for the detailed pointers. So it turns out to be both the evil that is systemd and an overzealous upgrade script. Apollon, should I raise a Debian bug for this? As for reasons, how do 50k proxy session on the proxy servers and 25k imap processes on the mailbox servers sound? Even on a server with just 6k users and 7k imap processes that causes a massive load spike and a

I get the spinning wheel and long lock ups. This happens when I hit, "get list", but that eventually returns, seemingly successfully. However it also happens when I try to install a package, the whole

[LLVMdev] Is infinite empty loop dead code?
Hi, All: Is it legal to delete empty infinite loop like this : "while(1) {}"? It is interesting that both llvm and gcc keep the loop, however Open64 delete it. If it is safe to delete this loop, it would be lot easier to delete non-obvious dead loop like following as compiler doesn't need to prove if the loop in question is infinite or not. Currently llvm is not able to

locating boxplot in bwplot (lattice)
Hello I am using lattice bwplot to draw migration distance of three groups of birds. The boxplots from the left to right is displayed in alphabetic order of the boxplot names, as the default setting. However, I would like the boxplots from the left to right to be displayed according to the migration distance from the short values to the long ones. In the data below, from the left to the

why check f_path.mnt is equal for source and dest in btrfs_ioctl_clone()?
This gives EXDEV for clone operations that btrfs could otherwise execute and with slight change of circumstances will actually execute fine. Imagine we have a btrfs on /dev/mapper/foobar with subvols /foo and /bar. Let’s also imagine top of said fs in mounted at /mnt. In this case, a cross-subvol clone of /mnt/foo/srcfile to /mnt/bar/dstfile will succeed. However, if only the individual
