breaking an axis (skipping part of it)
Hello,
Is it possible to skip part of an axis in order to adapt the axis to the
"normal" values and not to an outlier, but still have the outlier in the
graph ? I.e. have my axis go from 1 to 100, then break the axis in some
way, and continue with 500 to 600 ?

[PATCH] xen-pciback: fix error return code in pcistub_irq_handler_switch()
From: Wei Yongjun <yongjun_wei at trendmicro.com.cn>
Fix to return -ENOENT in the pcistub_device_find() and pci_get_drvdata()
error handling case instead of 0(overwrite to 0 by str_to_slot()), as done
elsewhere in this function.

Another failed attempt to install an R package in Ubuntu
I am running Ubuntu 8.04 through Wubi on a HP Pavilion dv4000 (my home
computer) and I recently installed R 2.7.1. I attempted to install the
randomForest package from within the R environment and from the Linux
terminal. Both attempts failed. I've tried several mirrors but with no
luck. Below is an example of the series of error messages I got when R told
me that the installation

fdim questions
R-users:
My problem: the package fdim (which measures fractal dimensions of
datasets) apparently prefers 3-D (XYZ) datasets. I'm trying to
measure the information dimension (a type of fractal dimension) of a
2-D (XY) dataset.
Here's some examples of the preferred 3-D data (XYZ):
library(fdim)
XYZ <- (makehplane(NumN=300, DimM=3, Longit=300))
fdim(XYZ,q=0.999999,PlotF=TRUE)

Positioning the y label in scatterplot3d
Is there a way of repositioning the y label in scatterplot3d so that it is parallel with the y axis?
Many thanks

[RFC] UAPI: Check headers by compiling all together as C++
Here's a set of patches that inserts a step into the build process to make
sure that the UAPI headers can all be built together with C++ (if the
compiler being used supports C++).
Note that it's based on a commit from the sound tree to fix usage of u32
and co..
Most of the patches perform fixups, including:

"Graphics history" in UNIX
Hello. First post, please excuse lack of experience.
I recently switched from MS-Win to Kubuntu and find it rather difficult
to recover Cran-R ease of use.
The "Graphics history" facility available under Windows was, for me,
extremely useful.
From Murrell's 2005 book (see citation below) I understand that no such
facility is available under non-Windows systems.

Brasero/cdrecord/growisofs with selinux users confined to staff_u
Hello CentOS / RedHat / IBM folks!
I am wondering if I can get a communication channel opened with
someone who can affect changes win upstream RHEL? I don't have
support accounts with RHEL, and use CentOS almost exclusively. I did
have a direct email conversation with Mr. Daniel Walsh regarding these
problems, but his answer was to create custom policy to allow what's
being denied, as

selinux + kvm virtualization + smartd problem
Hello,
I'm using HP homeserver where host system run CentOS 6.3 with KVM

without SELinux, but this does not matter).
Host system installed on mirrors based on sda and sdb physical disks.

needed to use zfs (zfsonlinux) benefit features). Problem is that

[PATCH] Support Function Level Reset (FLR) in the xen-pciback module (v1) and some fixes.
The attached patches allow the pciback module to perform a reset whenever
a PCI device is:
- attached to the pciback module, as so:

- detached from the pciback module, as so:
echo "0000:01.07.0" > /sys/bus/pci/devices/pciback/unbind

libvirt, selinux, moving images to ~/images does not work
Hi!
I am trying libvirt on POWERPC64 with the default settings such as selinux
enabled. It is all good till I move images out of /var/lib/libvirt/images/.
http://libvirt.org/drvqemu.html#securityselinux is saying that "If
attempting to use disk images in another location, the user/administrator
must ensure the directory has be given this requisite label. Likewise

Having problem getting Asterisk to work on CentOS 7
What are you using for the database - SQLite?
I am using mysql (mariadb).
I am not familiar with SQLlite. Can you access the database from the
console - look up the list of tables - display the contents from a
table? Anything to see if your SQLite is working and has asterisk data
in it.
From your Asterisk console,
|CLI> core show help database|
should give you a list of commands that you
