R-1.5.0: compiling package foreign on WinNT failed
Dear R-help, I was able to build R-1.5.0 on WinNT w/o problem (actually it seems easier than previous version). However, I encountered problem when trying to compile the recommended package foreign: make: Entering directory `/cygdrive/g/rbuild/R-1.5.0/src/gnuwin32' make DLLNM= FLIBS="-lg2c -lRblas" BUILD=MINGW \ -C G:/Rbuild/R-1.5.0-recommended/R.INSTALL/foreign PKG=foreign

building packages on windows
Has anyone had success building a package on a windows machine? I am trying the following command with no luck (perhaps my flags are incorrect?). At this point I am stuck. Any help greatly appreciated. Agree with Duncan on including associative operation too.

problem with rcmd build R-devel
Hi All, I am having a problem with Rcmd build using R-devel on WinXP. If I try to build a package using the --binary flag, I get the following error: Error: cannot change to directory ' 'c:/TEMP/Rbuild.XXXX' ' Where XXXX is some number. I can get Rcmd build to work using R-1.7.1 and R-1.8.0, so I don't think it is a permission problem. I looked at the build file, and the

R-beta 2004-04-07 build failed on AIX
I thought I'd give this another shot before the official release. I tried building R-beta_2004-04-07 on the AIX system that I have access to, and it seemed to failed at lazy-loading survival. I'd very much appreciate any pointer on what to try or look for next. 1. I set OBJECT_MODE to 64 for building 64-bit binary. 2. I edited config.site with the following: CC="xlc_r"

[LLVMdev] Efficient Pattern matching in Instruction Combine
Hi, All, Duncan, Rafael, David, Nick. This is regarding pattern matching in InstructionCombine pass. We use 'match' functions many times, but it doesn't do the pattern matching effectively. e.x. Lets take pattern : (A ^ B) | ((B ^ C) ^ A) -> (A ^ B) | C (B ^ A) | ((B ^ C) ^ A) -> (A ^ B) | C Both the patterns above are same, since ^ is commutative in Op0. But,

trouble building r-devel
I haven't been able to build yesterday's R-devel (or, as a test, R-devel_2005-03-11) on Windows XP. The error message I'm getting is to do with 'arithmetic.c', as shown below. Current R-patched seems to build fine, and I've built previous R-devels from source fairly often in the past-- though I have no understanding whatsoever of what's going on. FWIW the only changes

Building latest version of package

I recently upgraded to R 2.0.1 and tried to re-install my package - and I got: Error in library(mypackage) : 'mypackage' is not a valid package -- installed < 2.0.0? So I tried rebuilding it using my new version of R: R CMD BUILD --binary mypackage hhc: not found cp: cannot stat `mypackage.chm': No
