Install nested ESXi 6.x host under CentOS 7 kvm host
Hi all, I am trying to install nested Esxi 6.x under a Centos7 kvm host to use it as test lab for new ESXi versions, but I am doing something wrong because I can't install it. I have configured kvm and kvm_intel modules with the following options: options kvm ignore_msrs=1 options kvm_intel nested=1 ept=1 and I add the following options in <cpu> xml guest file: <cpu

Lmer with weights
Hello! I would like to use lmer() to fit data, which are some estimates and their standard errors i.e kind of a "meta" analysis. I wonder if weights argument is the right one to use to include uncertainty (standard errors) of "data" into the model. I would like to use lmer(), since I would like to have a "freedom" in modeling, if this is at all possible. For

One silly question about "tapply output"
Dear R helpers I have a data which gives Month-wise and Rating-wise Rates. So the input file is something like month           rating           rate January        AAA             9.04 February      AAA             9.07 .......................................... .......................................... Decemeber     AAA            8.97  January           BBB           11.15 February

Saving iterative components
Hi, I need help! I am trying to iterate an iterative process to do cross vadation and store the results each time. I have a Spatial data.frame, called Tmese > str(Tmese) Formal class 'SpatialPointsDataFrame' [package "sp"] with 5 slots ..@ data :'data.frame': 14 obs. of 17 variables: .. ..$ ID : int [1:14] 73 68 49 62 51 79 69 77 57 53 ... .. ..$

Means of Monte Carlo simulated lists
Hello, I am doing simulations, and I generate a list at each iteration (with three component matrices in the example below), saving the results in a list. For example, after two iterations, I have something like > str(sim.theta) List of 2 $ :List of 3 ..$ : num [1:6, 1:4] -3.67 -1.07 -2.99 -18.38 -3.26 ... ..$ : num [1:6, 1:6] -7.56 -3.14 -4.99 1.03 2.79 ... ..$ : num [1:6, 1:4]

Nonlinear regression aborting due to error
Colleagues, I am fitting an Emax model using nls. The code is: START <- list(EMAX=INITEMAX, EFFECT=INITEFFECT, C50=INITC50) CONTROL <- list(maxiter=1000, warnOnly=T) #FORMULA <- as.formula(YVAR ~ EMAX - EFFECT * XVAR^GAMMA / (XVAR^GAMMA + C50^GAMMA)) ## alternate version of formula FORMULA <- as.formula(YVAR ~ EMAX - EFFECT / (1 + (C50/XVAR)^GAMMA)) FIT <-

Contingency table: logistic regression
Hi, I am analyzing a data set with greater than 1000 independent cases (collected in an unrestricted manner), where each case has 3 variables associated with it: one, a factor variable with 0/1 levels (called XX), another factor variable with 8 levels (X) and a third response variable with two levels (Y: 0/1). I am trying to see if X1 has an effect on the relationship between X2 and the

[RFC] New Feature Proposal: De-Optimizing Cold Functions using PGO Info
We would like to propose a new feature to disable optimizations on IR Functions that are considered “cold” by PGO profiles. The primary goal for this work is to improve code optimization speed (which also improves compilation and LTO speed) without making too much impact on target code performance. The mechanism is pretty simple: In the second phase (i.e. optimization phase) of PGO, we would add

[LLVMdev] [llvm-commits] [PATCH] BasicBlock Autovectorization Pass
Ralf, et al., Attached is the latest version of my autovectorization patch. llvmdev has been CC'd (as had been suggested to me); this e-mail contains additional benchmark results. First, these are preliminary results because I did not do the things necessary to make them real (explicitly quiet the machine, bind the processes to one cpu, etc.). But they should be good enough for discussion.

[LLVMdev] Measurements of the new inlinehint attribute
Friday I enabled the inlinehint function attribute in the inliner. It mostly affects the performance of -Os compiled code. I have made some measurements on the SPEC test suite to show what it means. I made three runs of then nightly tests. The baseline represents -Os with no inlinehint: make TEST=nightly OPTFLAGS=-Os EXTRA_LOPT_OPTIONS=-inlinehint-threshold=0
