Section 7.1 HML documentation (PR#8484)
Full_Name: Greg Kochanski Version: 2.2.0 OS: Debian Linux i686 Submission from: (NULL) (212.159.16.190) In /usr/share/doc/r-doc-html/manual/R-data.html (at least that's where it is on Debian...) the documentation is unclear. Comments below. The paragraph has unclear references, and I have no idea what it actually means. >> Base R comes with some facilities to communicate via BSD

mosaicplot() labels overlap (PR#8536)
Full_Name: Greg Kochanski Version: 2.2.1 OS: Debian Linux (testing) Submission from: (NULL) (212.159.16.190) This is really a feature request. When you do mosaicplot() on a data set where the probability of several nearby rows is small, then the labels for those rows are plotted overlapping each other. This situation can be improved by calling mosaicplot() with a large value of

Mosaicplot coloring (PR#8537)
Full_Name: Greg Kochanski Version: 2.2.1 OS: Debian Linux (testing) Submission from: (NULL) (212.159.16.190) mosaicplot(x, shade=TRUE) is intended to color the blocks blue if they are more common than one might expect and red if they are rarer than one might expect. Unfortunately, if a block is much rarer than expected, it is so narrow that one cannot see the red. Thus, a casual inspection

--gui=Tk window does not stretch (PR#8520)
Full_Name: Greg Kochanski Version: 2.2.0 OS: Debian Linux Submission from: (NULL) (212.159.16.190) When you grab the corner of the Tk-R (R's console) window, the window stretches, but the useable area does not. It remains firmly fixed at the (rather small) value of 24 lines. In fact, you end up with a grey border of wasted pixels around the active white area that contains the text. (And,

AGI PHP Issues (AGI script runs but phone hangs up too quickly)
Sorry to re-post this but I'm sure it's something simple that someone has found before. To summarise: Dial plan answers the phone AGI script executes AGI debug in console show phonetics ABC - However no audio at all on the phone and this step is less than 1 second. Dial plan Busy Phone hangs up. Total time less than a second. This is such a simple AGI script do I need

rspec: identical tests fails when repeated
I''m doing RSpec controller testing with CanCan authorization, and I''m seeing something I''ve never seen in RSpec before: the same test run twice fails on the second one. I am NOT doing before(:all) or other things that should cause state to persist between tests: Here''s the relevant code: context "POST create" do context "with user logged

stubbing gets undone?
I''m looking at an example where a stub seems to work sometimes, and sometimes appears to become "unstubbed". I haven''t boiled it down to a minimal example, but it goes something like this: ---- the model: class Premise << ActiveRecord::Base def lookup_stuff_on_the_web $stderr.puts("entering lookup_stuff_on_the_web with #{self}") ... end end

render :collection calling partial with phantom object?
I have two models with a straightforward has_many / belongs_to relationship: class Premise < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :metered_services, :dependent => :destroy ... end class MeteredService < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :premise ... end and nested routes to match: Demo::Application.routes.draw do devise_for :users resources :premises do resources :metered_services

NAT router and off-premise SIP audio problem
Our network is connected to a cablemodem using a dynamic DNS service to resolve our address. The Asterisk server has been alternately set up behind a NAT router and without a NAT router -- that is, with two NICs, one of which is providing NAT to the rest of the network; the office SIPs are behind that with static private IP addresses. Off-premise SIPs are all behind simple NAT routers.

help me!
Would you help me to answer this question, please? /r/ is one of the most difficult English sounds to acquire and imitate. Describe in what ways it is different from our Spanish rolls (perro) and taps (pero). How does the pronunciation of this sound vary according to the context? Find at least three examples of linking r and intrusive r and transcribe into phonetics. When do we use them?

Another question about getting command history
Hello everyone, Thanks to the people who so kindly responded to my earlier query about how to get R to retrieve my previous command when I hit the up-arrow key. Several people pointed out to me that in order to enable this feature I need to re-install R with the GNU readline library. My question now is: how do I accomplish this? Can anyone tell me what changes I need to make to the

Howto: Check_box with a variable (no model)
Hi, I would like to put a checkbox on a form where the input field is a variable rather than a field in a model. The normal way (with a model) would be: <%= check_box(''client'', ''accept'', {}, "1", "0") %> But since accept is a variable @accept and model client will not be there, how do I make a check box work? beneficial optimization of undef examples needed
All, These discussions seem to be based on the premise that there is a need for the compiler to exploit undefined behavior for performance optimization reasons. So far the only beneficial optimization I am aware of that relies on some form of “undefined” is Dan Gohman’s original project for LP64 targets of promoting i32 induction variables to i64 and hoisting sign-extension out of the
