Need help on boxplot panel chart
Hi there: I am new to R and creating a boxplot panel chart to show a test result. I have four output variables (OV1, OV2, OV3, OV4) reflecting effects of the variation of three status parameters (SP1, SP2, SP3) on them at three different locations (Loc1, Loc2, Loc3). My plan is that displaying ONE OV change with ONE SP over three Loc in each boxplot (i.e., Loc is X axis and OV value is Y axis).

Cannot add Domain Groups to Local Groups (D Users OK)
I have searched the globe but alas I can't come up with a solution. I am running Debian 3.0r0 with samba 2.2.3a12-3 (or something around there) and Kernel 2.4.18. Basically I am trying to add a Domain Group to a Local Group, but when I do I get an error (From Windows 2000): "A member could not be added to or removed from the local group because the member does not exist"

Could we possibly rename this driver before it gets into 2.4? As I mentioned in another thread, Lakeview Research is probably not the manufacturer. Note that

Vista SP1-rc1 appears to break against Samba-3.0.27a
We've got nicely ADS integrated Samba-3.0.27a servers that are working fine with Win2000 through to standard Vista. However, we are starting to test RC1 of Vista SP1 and discovered that once applied, that workstation cannot connect to Samba server shares - unless the share is open - i.e. no "valid user" style settings. The moment one is defined, Vista fails to connect and pops up an

XP Failure to Join Domain
I?m using SAMBA 3.0.4-6.3E as a PDC. I have Win98, WinNT4 and Win2000 clients successfully joined to the domain. But I can?t get an XP box to join. The XP machine can ?see? shares on the SAMBA PDC but strangely does not show up in network neighbourhood. You can find it if you search for it. The PDC is just using smbpasswd, no LDAP The machine add line in my smb.conf is as follows..... add

Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4
Hello. Anyone else experiencing Problems with this update ? We do have W2k AD. And Samba Member-Server. This is done via Winbind without using Kerberos. After installing the Update to our AD-Servers. It seems that winbind lost its connectivity. wbinfo -t worked. wbinfo -u showed errors. After removing the update from all our servers, winbind works again. Should I move our configuration to

Profiles XP and Service Pack 1
Hi List, we have a 130+ PC network running windows XP on the clients, with win2000 and samba servers (SuSE 7.3 distribution rpm for samba 2.2.3 and SuSE 8.0 selfcompiled samba 2.2.5). The windows servers just authenticate the users, and provide some additional services (Terminal Server and some special software packages). Print- and File- services are provided by the samba servers. We

smbclient -b parameter
I've got problems getting files from a win2000 server using smbclient (see subject "SMBClient & Windows 2000"). I've tried using the -b parameter (documented in the online man pages) to change the buffersize in case that might be the problem but the smbclient I'm running doesn't recognise it. I've installed 2.0.7 on Compaq Tru64, smbclient declares itself as

Problem : Samba 3.0.2a as PDC with Win2000 Pro
Hi, all.... Honestly I'm a newbie in Linux. For a couple days, I've been trying to build my own PDC server. I've got enough manual resource for guidance, but somehow, untill now I can't log my Win2000 Profesional into the PDC server. I'm using Debian sid kernel 2.6.5, Samba 3.0.2a and a Win2000 box as client. I think there's nothing wrong with my smb.conf ( I guess...

rsync vs. rcp
I got used to rsync's -v --progress option so much that I used it instead of rcp even to simply copy files across the network. I dont like software that doesnt talk to me! :-) I like the percentage bar that --progress gives! To my surprise, I found that, when dealing with 1GB+ files, rsync is 4-5 _times_ slower than rcp. Yes, I know that rsync is optimized for sending deltas to a file

Debugging R's code: boxplot.stats
Hi everyone, I think I have found a minor issue with the R function "boxplot.stats". But before I make such a rash comment, I'd like to check my facts by fixing what I think is the problem. However, why I try to do this, R does not behave as I expect. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? If I use the command: debug(boxplot.stats) I am allowed to step through the code as
