rawToChar(raw(0))
Hi,
right now we have (on R v2.7.0 patched (2008-04-23 r45466)) that:
> rawToChar(raw(0))
[1] ""
> rawToChar(raw(0), multiple=TRUE)
character(0)
Is this intended or should both return character(0)? Personally, I
would prefer that an empty input vector returns an empty output
vector. Same should then apply to charToRaw(), but right now we get:

SSL configuration
Hello subscribers,
I have a very strange question regarding SSL setup on gluster storage.
I have create a common CA and sign certificate for my gluster nodes, placed host certificate, key and common CA certificate into /etc/ssl/,
create a file called secure-access into /var/lib/glusterd/
Then, I start glusterd on all nodes, system work fine, I see with peer status all of my nodes.
No problem.

3.0.1rc2 LDAP - problems joining domain
Hi,
I'm back on the list ;-)
I seem to be having some trouble getting W2K machines to join the domain in
3.0.1rc2. I haven't looked at this in detail since 2.2.8a but it looks like
the account gets created in LDAP and then it has trouble setting the password
appropriately. I believe this is the relevant part of the log:

IAX2 speex payload using ZoIPer
Using Wireshark I can see that ZoIPer always send a 160 byte payload.
First few payloads contain 20 bytes of data (what I believe to be a mode
3 frame, ie first byte in 0x18 - 0x1F range), followed by 0x7B (21st
byte), ie. 5 bit 0x0F terminator padded with 011. ... and then zeroes
all the way up to 160 bytes.
... but then after a few payloads there are more following these 21
bytes ...

writeLines argument useBytes = TRUE still making conversions
Of course, right after writing this e-mail I tested on my Windows
machine and did not see what I expected:
> charToRaw(before)
[1] c3 a9
> charToRaw(after)
[1] e9
so obviously I'm misunderstanding something as well.
Best,
Kevin

Possible actions:

3: exit R without saving workspace
4: exit R saving workspace

subRaw?
Hello, All:
Do you know of any capability to substitute more then one byte in
an object of class Raw?
Consider the following:

R 2.7.0, match() and strings containing \0 - bug?
Hi,
A piece of my code that uses readBin() to read a certain file type is
behaving strangely with R 2.7.0. This seems to be because of a failure
to match() strings after using rawToChar() when the original was
terminated with a "\0" character. Direct equality testing with ==
still works as expected. I can reproduce this as follows:
