Trying to build ices-0.4 on ubuntu and "libshout not usable"

Question on trying to build R 2.11.1 on Tru64(aka OSF1) system

Compiling SVN build.. error for libupsclient
Hi, Below is a log of what I did. In summary, I think the problem lies in that I can't build libupsclient: e.g. make[1]: *** No rule to make target `libupsclient.la', needed by `upsc'. Stop. Evening guys... I've been trying for the past week to install an icecast server on my centos 5 VPS hosted through phurix. I've tried compiling it, installing it from RPM. but im getting nowhere.
