err:module:import_dll Library d3dx9_43.dll
I am getting this error when trying to play Rift, which is odd I think because I can play WoW just fine.
I installed DirectX9 and 10 via winetricks, but still I get this error.

Problems using vorbisfile.dll
Hello.
Not certain this post belongs here, got a little confused about
vorbis-dev / vorbis. If it doesn’t, please tell me so :)
Well, on to the problem.
I’m adding ogg support into an audio-player.
For some reason I want it using vorbisfile threw the dll’s.
It works just fine with the debug dll. No problems what so ever.
But with the Retail dlls, when I call ov_open my memory gets messed up.

question related to DLL reuse via Wine
Hi
newbie to Wine but have read FAQs and could not find a clear answer to my doubt so here goes -
I am looking to re-use some windows dlls in linux. Assume that these dlls are used via svchost.exe in MS environment to provide a service.
My questions are
1.) Can such a setup be migrated to run under Wine?
2.) If above is true then is it subsequently possible to write a set of Linux binaries

It's a little bit immaterial whether they're shared or static
libraries, since one would be distributing them bundled

[cfe-dev] [7.0.0 Release] rc2 has been tagged
I'm just curious why you don't plan on using dlls? Xcode ships with
libclang as a dylib, i wouldnt think windows would be a big leap?

Building and loading a DLL on Windows NT
I am trying to build a simple dll with Rcmd SHLIB to link into R. The
results of the build are below. From my limited knowledge of building DLLs,
it looks like it worked (I didn't get any errors).
F:\R\dlls> Rcmd SHLIB add.C
making add.d from add.C
g++ -IC:/PROGRA~1/R/src/include -Wall -O2 -c add.C -o add.o
ar cr add.a *.o
ranlib add.a
g++ --shared -s -o add.dll add.def add.a

dpwsockx.dll does not appear in winecfg
Hello.
I'm trying to run Age of Kings multiplayer that seems to run fine for several other users.
I followed the instruction that says:
To get multiplayer working for such games (at least those that use a DirectPlay version prior to 8), place the DLLs in this archive in Wine's windows/system32 directory, then add DLL overrides (native, builtin) for: dplayx, dpnet, dpnhpast and dpwsockx.

Can't load native dll
When I try to load winelib dll I get an error message:
"err:module:MODULE_LoadLibraryExA Loading of native
DLL <dllname> failed (error 193), check this file."
The error message is printed for call:
DllHandle = LoadLibrary(DllName);
This happens even when I try to load standard Wine
dlls, like dlls/msisys.ocx.so
Did I miss something obvious?
Thanks,

I am a beginner in R and try to build dlls (Win XP, MinGW, R 1.7.1).

Now I am stuck with a dll containing C++ code.
I have included some part of the source code (of an implementation of a

Using a native windows DLL in wine
Hi all.
As said in the subject, we wonder whether is possible to use some
native MS dlls (comctl32.dll, commctrl.dll)
in a wine installation, for commercial purpose.
And, if possible, what kind of restrictions are supposed to be applicated?
I'm sure I'm not the first asking such a thing...
Thx

dll issues
Hi all,
Firstly, I wanted to say thanks to all of the developers that have spent so
much time creating wine.
I have a few questions though, my soon-to-be-father-in-law has requested that
I erase windows on his computer and put linux on. That's all well in good,
I've had quite a few years experience with linux. However, he does have a
few windows programs for which there is no free

Compiling DLL?
Hello,
I have a plugin called DFVoice, which is a voice chat plugin for the Unity
game engine. The latest version of Unity now allows for native DLLs in the
free version (whereas previously it only allowed .NET DLLs), so I've been
wanted to integrate Opus to replace NSpeex.
That said, I've been running into issues with compiling Opus - that is, I
can't seem to figure out how to compile
